Yeah and he's got the size to play next to McCollum. It's not like Napier is some sniper either so I don't know what we'd miss exactly.
Briscoe is THICCHis measurements at the pre draft was 6.1" 222 lbs. What is he now? That sounds ....wide

It's hard to tell. He hit his shots in this scrimmage, but we don't see how he shoots regularly in practice. So, the jury is still out. He's definitely known more for driving and slashing. He looked pretty comfortable out there today. He plays a bit like Eric Bledsoe. Could be a scrub, or could turn into a real player. That outside shot is going to be the reason for one or the other. I hope he makes the team though.Yeah I just watched his college highlights. He looks like he could have been a solid safety.
His highlights were not impressive. Did he improve his shooting?
Yeah good point. His standing reach is pretty good at 8'3" 1/2 (better than CJ or Dame anyways)He's also got a 6'9 wingspan. He's got the measurables to guard bigger (taller) players.

Agree. More potential than 15th men from past seasons.Briscoe is a bully when attacking the basket. If he got any sort of consistency with his shot he'd be a starting caliber player. That's worth carrying as your 15th man.
Was Briscoe projected as a draft pick at any time? I think he would have made an impression in the SL with the way he played today.

Haha. Nope.Bring back Montero, FAMS!!

I'm sure we could trade Napier though. He's relatively cheap and a RFA after this season. Worth a look for some team. He's never gonna play heavy minutes here. We'd be doing him a favor.
I am ok with keeping another PG like Biscoe as the 15th man, but I would not get rid of Napier until Briscoe shows he can shoot better than this:
5 of 37 3-point attempts, and 46% of his free throws, contributing to his very poor 46% true shooting percentage, and the fact that opposing teams didn't even pretend to try and defend him on the perimeter by the end of the season, making things very difficult on his teammates. - Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Isaiah-Briscoe-7140/ ©DraftExpress
Maybe give him a year to develop?
Yeah he needs to develop but it's not like Napier will be in the rotation either.
My question right now who do you think going back up Nurk?
Thanks for your opinion.I assume Ed
He will if there is an injury. He proved last year that he is an NBA player. Briscoe has not proved that yet...as an un-drafted rookie.
Exactly he's only going to play in an emergency. I'd rather keep the guy with the higher upside instead.
“Useful” what like a roll of tape? Shit, draft day this place had him headed straight to the hall of FameNot bad! Swanigan had a stretch there where he was single-handedly trying to bring the grey team back and Collins looked useful and had a nice block and some good footwork.
