I know that I, as a fan, am feeling more fatigue right now than I remember ever feeling before. And I am worried that the team will be feeling it also and that there could be even worse times ahead before it gets better.

Even before this rash of injuries, it seemed like the team had to put out extra effort every night to make up for the "Batum effect", having to play four on five every night. Now with the injuries, guys like Matthews and Kaman are trying to put out superhuman efforts every night, but how long can they keep that up as the team is not winning?

It's quite disappointing that no one from the bench has really stepped up to make a consistent positive contribution to the team. Leonard pretty much has to shoot 60% on offense to make up for his defensive deficiencies. Robinson is putting out consistent effort but just doesn't seem to be able to cut down on the mental mistakes. McCollum and Barton, well you see them every night....... Blake actually might be trying too hard and as a result is making terrible turnovers. The boxscore showed him having one last night, I saw three and that's in 15 minutes.

So I am worried that with the strain of trying to keep up without the missing guys and with the weak support from the bench, that the Blazers could have somewhat of a collapse until people get back. I'm hoping somehow Matthews and Kaman can keep it up, Lillard can find his shot again and at least one guy from the bench can show some consistent spark.

This bench was assembled to compliment our starters. As one starter goes down, the rotations go out of whack. Player roles change and the third string becomes the second string. It's unfair to expect this group to do more than what their role is already.

Things will change when we get Rolo and Freeland back. Then when Aldridge returns, order will be restored. Until then, we gotta grind it out.

I kind of disagree here. There are quite a few teams whose bench players contribute quite a bit more than ours regularly due to unforeseen circumstances. Our bench is just super young and they definitely don't get enough burn.

I agree with this, but remember that this team was the worst bench 2 years straight before this season. Our additions were really Blake and Kaman. Then a year older crew of what was the worst in the league for two years straight.

Blake's role wasn't to score, but to facilitate. CJ was hopefully going to be our wing scorer off the bench, but injuries set him back. The moment Kaman had to start, we lost all his 10ppg.

I think the bench has done the best it's capable of right now, until our youth can develop their game. If we had more capable vets, then I would 100% agree with you. Those teams you mentioned had those vet bench reserves to pick up the slack. We don't...

Yeah agree. Why do I always feel like we have WAY to many young guys to develop at a single time? It's like were stuck w/a D-League bench quite often.

Blame that on the "let it bake" crew. They got rid of all their vets and brought in draft picks. If we had 1-2 more vets, I would be much happier with our bench.

The Blazers schedule is brutal over the next couple weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if we slide down to 6 or 7th place in the west now.

I'm feeling tired and down too, but then I saw this poster today, and thought, "no matter what happens this season I'm glad it's 2015, and not 2005!"

I think we would all be happy to lose a couple of games and have our bench develop some game time confidence against some of the league's starters.

Since this year really seems to be Golden State and Atlanta's, I'm happy to watch our young guys develop a bit without much pressure. Meyers has been a very pleasant surprise!

If you don't have a job, get one. If you do, try to focus on it more. These guys playing a game we would all play for fun don't deserve one tiny bit of my emotions. If the inevitable losing gets to you find something better to do with your life.

When healthy, and even without Lopez, we've been as good as GS. After a 3-3 start, we went 25-5 while GS was also 25-5. With Lopez healthy, we might've done better. We are an extremely good team and people should fear us once we're healthy,

It might be a defense mechanism for myself as a fan, but I have no expectations out of this season anymore. Any post season performance will be a bonus to me as a fan right now.
