My son's Ugandan neighbor just returned from there with organic vanilla beans for sale. I keep reminding myself to buy some from him when I visit next time...I've never used vanilla beans before but love vanilla so it'll be a first for me. He has the most beautiful urban garden I've seen in these parts and has a wealth of agricultural knowledge. I haven't made home made ice cream in ages...I should pick up an ice cream maker one of these days as well.
