Who are your favorite rappers? For me, it's Big, Pac, Nas, and Jay-Z. I've been listening to a lot of Nas lately, though.

Btw, I made the first thread in this forum.

Word. All the youngsters need to head to the local music store and buy some old school late 80's, early 90's rap. That was the best time for rap music.

BTW, have you been listening to his son Lil Eazy E? His debut album is coming out this summer, and is said to be the hottest thing to come out of the west in a while. I've heard a couple of songs by him, and he's definitely got talent. It's really a shame that Eazy-E is often overlooked, because Tupac and Biggie died a short time after him.

''And pops was the first one to start it/
that make these n*ggas feel like they really the hardest/
'' - Lil Eazy E

lol most of you guys aren't even that old talkin about how rap aint the same anymore.

Past: Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jay-Z(since he's "retired")

Now: Only guys I really listen to now is Lil Wayne, Papoose and TI.

Tupac,Biggie,Immortal Technique,Papoose,T.I, Lil Wayne,SOME Lloyd Banks, Mobb Deep, Young Jeezy.

I'm a little bummed because Immortal Technique signed to G-Unit records

Lupe Fiasco
The Game
Papoose
T.I.

1. Chamillionaire
2. Youngbloodz

4. Paul Wall
5. Lil Flip

Yeah, I like crunk music. :-/

1. 2Pac
2. Wu-Tang Clan
3. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
4. Dre
5. NWA
6. Snoop
7. Xzibit
8. Ice Cube
9. Big L
10. Ludacris

Eminem, TI, Obie Trice

1. 2Pac
2. Rakim
3. Biggie
4. Nas

Those are my top 4, the hip hop coming out in the early 90's is my favorite era. I hate the direction hip hop has taken. All this main stream music is more pop than what hip hop is all about. The creativity is gone and artists are selling a catchy hook instead of spitting heavy lyrics.

Not a big fan of crunk music, but it works in the clubs or when you need something to wake you up in rush hour traffic.

2Pac, Biggie Smalls, NaS, Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, The Game, Big L, Busta Rhymes, Styles P, Jadakiss, Xzibit, and the old Mobb Deep stuff, all the stuff from Infamy and on has been ok, and not near as good as their first 3 CD's. I like Snoop Dogg and Eminem's old stuff too, but like Mobb Deep their recent stuff hasn't been good, especially Eminems.

1.Yaki Kadafi
2.Tupac
3.KRS 1
4.Kanye West
