Few things about LMA I think are funny...

Cons: One of the few knocks against LaMarcus is that he sometimes doesn't play with enough heart or being a little soft. He doesn't play as physical as many would like. He will also need to bulk up to play against other power forwards in the NBA.

Story of his life (career)

* Played only 16 games as a freshman due to a hip injury that required surgery

He missed half of his freshman year, like Oden.

I didn't realize he missed all that time at Texas.

Wonder if the hip surgery was the same as Pens

he won defensive player of the year in the big 12 his sophmore year..i hope he reverts back to then...

also whats with his parents and making sure "la" is both of their kids names lol

When I think about injury prone players, I used to think LMA and Roy. But, other than his freaky heart problem, LMA has been rock solid.

Darius Miles was a phenomenal player when he was a kid and all he had to do was out-athleticize people. Once he found out that professional basketball was work instead of play, he decided to start mailing it in.
come on, ease up on the hate. Once DM lost his superior athleticism to injury he had to rely more on his mediocre skills. After a couple more blown out knees, he'd lost most of his ability to run and jump and was done.

dude was never a favorite player of mine or anything close, but piling on a guy who had umpteen knee surgeries and rehabs is poor form

STOMP

My reaction too. Miles played very hard and got high stats the first month of McMillan's coaching here, but then his career was ended due to injury. When he tried to return, he couldn't go all-out and the crowd booed him, influenced by the Oregonian, which was on a mission to destroy the team and didn't like his easygoing ghetto personality. The Oregonian bases its opinion on whether you smile at reporters, but he bent toward the childish side in his need for approval.

Tons of black people put "la" in just about any name.
