Of course the promoters knew the view would be poor. So should have the people who bought tickets because it was obvious. They shouldn’t have bought tickets. Would have been pretty embarrassing for the promoters to have lots of empty seats. Perhaps we’ll see that happen in game two.What you say doesn't make sense. I am not talking about the cheap tickets. I am talking about the expensive ones that are close to court but nobody from Australia Federation thought or cared about the fact that if they are all on same level then those that are not in front will not have clear view of the court. I am not talking about distance, but visibility of the court. They couldn't even see it!
This is probably the most disgusting basketball stuff i have seen in a long time. Just stealing money.
Why did the promoters do it? Because $$$$. Over 100,000 tickets at those kind of prices? Australian basketball has never seen that kind of money, and likely never will again.
