The entire Team USA team was built around him. What do you mean he didn't make the choice? What choice?

The choice to pick soup over salad....what are we talking about involving Durant?

He recommitted to the team last weekend after Paul George got hurt. Cuts were then made, including Paul Millsap, because Durant was going to play the 4 the overwhelming majority of the minutes.

It's a punk move, and he deserves to be criticized for it. Why even go to camp, or why not withdraw before cuts were made. If Coach K pulls back anybody he has cut at this point, he's lost the team, regardless of injury.

Its horrible move and its funny how he isn't getting very much scrutiny for it but Love got LITE up for dropping out at the last moment. What Durant did is 50x worse but the media has a huge love affair with Durant and except for a few people ESPN in general refuses to criticize him.
I do think he is being told to not play as part of his Under Armor deal.

Here's the end of the Spain-Canada game:

Rudy Gay? Subtraction by addition!

Im actually pulling for Lithuania if they are still in it. I think it means more to foreign countries to compete in the FIBAs. Older players like Niko Gallis refused to come to the NBA because there was no pro status back then and they couldn't have played for their country. It doesn't seem the same on the US. But I realize this is not the World Cup.

Why didn't he make his decision before the cuts of Millsap, Wall, and Beal were announced?

Converse: Why did K make cuts a month before the deadline? In fact, I read shortly before the scrimmage that K planned to make ALL cuts, down to a roster of 12, in the hours after the scrimmage. George's injury forced him back to the drawing board.

Blame K, not Durant. Also, he's a little bitch for not simplifying how his name is spelled. You have to be Einstein to write it.

Documentary on Batum - it doesn't look new, but it's new to me:

ICELAND!?

Happy now, Joel Freeland? Happy now, Luol Deng??

Rudy Fernandez is a playmaker, not an outside shooter. Like Batum, but a much better dribbler.

Dame made him look horrible in their scrimmage and the only thing Wall has on Kyrie/Lillard was his freakish ability to get into rim and create for teammates that way. He wasnt able to show it when it counted and got cut because of it.

isnt wall a much more respected defender than either of them?

Curry and Rose have been looked at as locks, and Lillard has an advantage in that Team USA views him as a combo guard. Irving is a superior shooter to Wall, as are the rest of them, but it's sort of strange that Wall's defense and athleticism weren't valued more highly. You can make the argument that, on a team that wants to play fast and force turnovers, Wall would be a better fit than Irving or Lillard.

Lillard now plays short bursts of minutes, so has energy to step up his defense.

@usabasketball Training Camp resumes today in Chicago! #Spain2014

Oh good lord. I want Dame to pull out, but feel that it will lead to bad karma.

Hope Boogie's injury is minor.
