Don't have Instagram. What?

A Nebraska woman at Rep. Mike Flood’s Lincoln town hall went viral after fearlessly challenging him on taxpayer-funded immigration enforcement. She demanded to know, “How much does it cost for fascism? How much do taxpayers pay?”—calling out ICE’s staggering $8.4 million per day detention costs and the controversial use of disaster-relief funds for detention facilities. Her fiery remarks linked ICE funding to authoritarian overreach, sparking loud chants of “Tax the rich” and “Vote him out!” as Flood defended the spending as voter-backed policy. The heated exchange has ignited national debate over ICE funding, taxpayer money, and the rising costs of immigration detention in America.

But people can safely bring their cats to Home Depot and not need to buy an axe for protection.

In an upset, the Democratic candidate for mayor of Fairbanks, Alaska, unseated the incumbent Republican. It has been ten years since an incumbent mayor was voted out. The Republican is Trump loyalist who ran on anti LGBTQ platform. The challenger ran on affordability and Inuit rights.

Republican conceded, blaming an "energized" Democratic party.

That's it. That's how Dems can win.

Affordability in living life and education as well as protecting rights of the people to live clean and safe lives.

They conceded? Wow

When are we going to be able to see Instagram?

When will S2 include AI bots that can continue our conversations here without any input from us whatsoever, and thus remove the need for us to ever read what is posted here?

Every news agency, including Fox and Newsmax, refused to sign DUI hire precensorship pledge. Only OAN signed.

Indivisible meeting talked about possibility of provocations at No Kings rally. Stressed do not engage. Don't debate, don't make gestures, take their pictures, turn away. We will if necessary physically get between protesters and anyone trying to provoke. With Trump officials saying they don't think it will be peaceful and talking National Guard, fear is trying to provoke confrontation to use as excuse. Monitors getting training in nonviolence and de-escalation.

Always try to take video instead of pictures. You can get pics from video but video also captures sound and will continue to record if your phone is taken from you or you are pushed.

Jew money behind it
Protests are violent. Unlike January 6.

Meanwhile on planet Earth, many No Kings rallies are asking participants to bring donations for local food banks.

Every morning I take the dog for a long walk. The last part of the walk is a loop around the perimeter of my neighborhood/development. In a far corner of it, tucked away is a house with a long(er) driveway. Where it meets the road the neighbor has a post with a plastic box like the realtors use to make listing info available. Since they moved in a couple years ago, the lady has been "posting" poems and missives relevant to dealing or coping mentally and emotionally with our current dystopian world. This lady really "gets" it and the stuff she shares has been extremely appreciated by so many of us in the 'hood. Today's post hit me right where I needed it, when I need it most. It's a struggle, but one that needs to be fought;

Albert Camus
Invincible Summer

"My dear, in the midst of hate, I found
There was, within me, an invincible love.
In the midst of tears, I found there was
within me an invincible smile. In the
midst of chaos, I found there was, within
me, an invincible calm. I realized
through it all, that...In the midst of
winter I found there was, within me, an
invincible summer. And that makes me
happy. For it says that no matter how
Hard the world pushes against me, within
me there's something stronger - something
better, pushing right back

Call me corny (or worse) but right fucking on! I am not gonna let the bastards get me down and I'm going to fight back. I hope the same for all of you too.

Nice. Now that I'm in the hood, I'm going to have to check that out.
