Who's coming in to replace him?

Go Blazers

if i had a choice id pick monty just because it wouldnt be a huge change of scenery and the players like him so you really cant go wrong with that and im almost positive he would change the lineup to have miller starting

How long does this losing streak have to go for him to get axed this season?

I already said in another thread I'm willing to give him until the end of December ... if we're staring down the barrel of a 12 and 23 record at that point, then yeah, Nate's probably gotta go.

I just wish some fans would just get it over with and have their scanners moment and spare the rest of us the drama

Only reason why I wouldn't fire Nate yet is that I don't see any viable options to replace him with. If Monty is capable, I hope Pritchard give the go ahead. But I'm willing to wait out the season for Aldelman.

I'll bet David Adelman is available now.

Does Rick's contract with the Rockets expire this year? If so, I wonder if he's up for taking another spin on the carousel in his off-season home. I'm all for it.

It doesn't matter for the immediate future, just so long as he's not poisoning the growing stage of this current roster any longer.

I'm ready to see how Scottie Pippen would do as head coach.

If it doesn't work, try for Adelman at the end of the season.

I would definitely be on board the Adelman train. That would be sweet justice for Adelman to come back and win Championships in Portland. Fire Nate, use Monty in the interim and bring in Adelman next season.

My brother suggested a controversial one to me...Bill Lambier. He led his Detroit Sparks to championships 3 out of his 7 years as coach. He was a two time champion himself and knows how to win. He might be the tough guy this team has been desperately needing. it's off the wall and I kinda like it, props to my brother for mentioning it.

As much as I don't like ole Bill, I wouldn't mind it. He was a lot smarter of a player than people give him credit for. He pretty much knew the 90 team was 3 moves from being stopped.

erggg, to me, that's like asking Rick Fox to coach us. The guy is too much of a villian for me to accept him onto our side

I really would like a guy with experience. This team has title potential if groomed the right way, and I'd hate for this team's contending years to be part of a training campaign for a new coach. If Nate is fired during the season, Monty or another asst. will most likely be promoted to finish out the year. Then evaluate the asst the rest of the season, and possibly go after another guy in the summer.

I honestly think Patrick Ewing would be a great idea. The perfect coach for building the team around Oden.
