If there is malicious prosecution, the prosecutors should face the consequences. I’m not seeing it, though.

The only sketchy thing is how far off from the special counsel’s mandate has Mueller strayed. If Manafort is indicted on Monday for financial “crimes” from a decade+ ago, that does seem far astray. Mueller can hand off that sort of thing to the DoJ or state attorney.

Also, if it is Manafort for those financial type crimes, it is a pretty good indication that Mueller doesn’t have anything else.
