First round exits, how will it affect free the offseason?

Often, first round and out teams make some substantial moves, also, players who were looking for contending teams may decide they need to move on.

Lakers - Howard needs to make a decision. He can't be happy. Team also needs to decide if it will cut and run on having such high salaries, Kobe, Gasol, Artest

Celtics - Pierce and Garnett are winding down their careers but owed huge sums. Pierce is only guaranteed 5mil and Boston still owned its amnesty. They have some young talent and now may be the time to ditch the vets.

Clippers - Paul wants to win in the playoffs and reportedly gets in arguments with the young players on his team.

Houston - they are in a different position in that they outperformed expectations. But they have a ton of youth and must be thinking they are just a couple moves away from contending. Do they go after Howard even though Asik has shown he isa quality center? Perhaps they go after Paul instead?

Denver - They have a lot of B level talent, but need to get an A level talent. They have to be confused on what to do with their bigs.

Atlanta - josh smith out most likely. How do they use their assets

Bucks - most of their team is at the end of their contracts.

I think he's staying.

Houston - Asik (he's a double-double machine providing decent to good D at the 5), Paul (they might go after him or another pg), Thomas Robinson (interested in seeing how he'll do next season)

Denver - McGee (they didn't play him much during the regular season and may trade him when it's possible), Iggy (depends on his player option, will he opt in?)

Atlanta - Josh Smith (going to the highest bidder)

Bucks - Keeping their young talent and jettison the vets

I just don't see how that could happen. Assuming Paul wants to go there it will be because Howard decides to stay. I can't see a way for pal to get on the lakers unless he was willing to earn a tiny portion of what he is worth.

It's the Lakers, if there is someway they can continue to stay in the upper echelon of NBA teams, they'll find the way.

I think he's staying.

Apparently, because of less taxes in Houston, it's about the same amount of money. I think he'll go to Houston. It is the perfect team for him. Lots of three point shooters and a young star who can distribute as well as score on his own. The Lakers will be horrible next year whether or not he stays. He knows this. I guess I should hope he doesn't go to Houston because that would make it hard for us to contend in the West.

Celtics - Kevin Garnett - why not? He's still an elite interior defender and every teammate loves him
Clippers - ERIC BLEDSOE
Houston - OMER AŞIK
Denver - Dre, Koufos, Mozgov
Atlanta - Horford (they'd have to want to blow the whole thing up)
Bucks - Dunleavey (strangely good stats), Udoh (I'd say Sanders, but we ain't getting him)

I like the young guy MarShan Brooks but I wouldn't give up much for him.

Lopez is good, but he is not worth anything close to 16 million.
