That was a heartbreaker. Initial thoughts: what's more perplexing, Blakes shot or why everyone assumes that foul/no-travel on Battier is no big deal?

As bad as Blake's decision at the end was, this game was lost by Brandon Roy. He had two awful fourth quarter turnovers and couldn't hit anything.

Sad, but agreed, and also LMA, was terrible.....

our guys just didnt step up

Whoa..dudes. I don't think this was all Blake's fault. Yeah, stupid shot but I think we could easily point out 30 or 40 of those....Wishing some guy would get injured or go hang himself? Go find a quiet dark closet and hit your head against the wall, drink some beer and chill for a bit.

Your avatar is ashamed that you said that. :tsktsk:

Well, in the search for the positive, I don't think Roy and LMA could have played much worse, and Greg started to show some real flashes of what he's capable of becoming, but fuck does this one sting just a little.

I (for one) think Blake had the right idea. A quick shot before the defense gets set and enough time to go for an offensive rebound.

Greg was definitely a positive sign.

I feel pretty good about kicking their arses on Sunday. All we need is to locate the gigantic magnetic butt plug underneath Houston that's causing the phantom foul calls.

That would have been fine if he'd taken the time to SET HIS F'ING FEET!

Did somebody tell Travis Outlaw the Blazers are in the post season? He doesn't seem to know, because I haven't seen him yet. 2-11 tonight - another stinker for Trav. Damn, we could have used him tonight.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Rudy is big time too.

can we seriously go away from frye? like when greg or joel get in foul trouble go to a line up of roy rudy batum outlaw aldridge i feel a shit ton better bout that and flash the double on yao with batum when/if he gets the ball

Nate has to stop trusting him so much. Rudy is a better player.

I think Nate is just hoping Outlaw snaps out of it. I'm willing to cut the guy a break but after three games, he's just done. He has no clue what's going on. Frye came in and pretty much saved our asses for a couple of minutes. At least he's showing he WANTS to be on the court and help us win.

Outlaw, buddy, time to sit out a half and watch how it's played.

Argh - that just feels like one that we could have and would have won with a decent night from either of our stars. That said, but our stars were pretty awful and we still had opportunities to win. Let's hope they bounce back on Sunday and our centers keep shutting down Yao.

Not really. We got killed on the boards.

It's not like Greg was giving up position and not boxing out, we got killed on the boards because we shot a very low percentage and the Rockets did a great job of grabbing defensive boards and our guards didn't do a great job of digging out boards when our centers were otherwise preoccupied with Yao.

Another good thing to come out of this game. Von Wafer and Brooks have finally cooled off. Combined 6-20 fg. I see no reason why those two butt-darts should all of a sudden start shooting lights-fucking-out like they did in games 1 and 2.

The way we used Rudy tonight was a fucking travesty. He was on fire. We should have kept feeding him the ball.
