Yeah, that, and the other 24 foul shots they had. We shot 10 free throws in this game. They shot 24.

True. Very true. Problem is, in my brain I could keeps track of all the lopsided regular foul calls. The phantom tech sticks in my mind because it came out of nowhere like Joaquin Phoenix's rap career.

Greg is getting better as the series wears on. You wouldn't know it if you looked at the boxscore, but he's learning how to play. Unfortunately he's still getting the bullshit calls against him.

Sure you would. But you look at Yao's box score instead of Portlands. 7 points. Enough said.

I can just picture Blake passing him the ball, Rudy giving a head fake, stepping back, and nailing a three to tie. I can see it in my head. Too bad Blake pulled a Lone Ranger on us.

I prefer the game in your head. Can you switch the two?

I would have been completely fine with Blake taking the shot if he'd taken the time to get set! He got his feet set the next time down and nailed the shot! Blake is a very good three-point shooter - he just rushed the damn shot for no reason.

he's doing rotations he hasn't done before.

That's this team's main problem right now.

Trying to guess what Nate will change next and trying to adjust to it mid-game.

HEY NATE! IT WASN'T BROKE SO DON'T TRY TO FIX IT! :tsktsk:

Those dozen or so minutes of Sergio, and Jerryd, not only provide a change of pace in which the other bench players thrive and opponents are forced to adjust to, they also provide a few minutes of rest for our starters to stay at the top of their game. The small defensive mistakes that may or may not occur once in awhile are a drop in the bucket compared to the offensive advantage we gain by them playing.

But that's the part that doesn't make sense... we had 16 seconds.... why did he rush it? Blake acted like there was five seconds.

This team has won a lot of second halves over this season, but what good does it do when they get blown away so badly in the first so often? Leads the league in comeback victories being down ten or more? Yeah, that says some good things about this team, but how many times do we have to see them give such an advantage to the other team? Apparently two more if they're not careful.

Exactly. You can point to this mistake, or that. Or this bad call. Etc. The problem was the Blazers didn't play 4 quarters. They played 2. They were outrebounded in the first half. They were not closing out. They were not hustling. Top it off with both small forwards pretty much throwing in a doughnut, and you have a problem, because they hardly even get any attention if they are not a threat.

Blazer basketball:

1. Execution in half court.
2. Rebound the ball. #2 in the league offensivly, but in this series you wouldn't know it.
3. Defense. Build the wall. Last game the wall was being built. This game I didn't see one defensive wall get built until near the end of the 3rd quarter.

Prediction: If we win this, the Rockets and their fans will blame the refs.
Sorry you didnt win. :ghoti:
And ... since you lost, go ahead and blame it on the refs too. Honestly, most fans will when they lose instead of accepting their team got outplayed. Rockets outplayed Blazers in game 1, Blazers outplayed in game 2, Rockets outplayed in game 3. Simple as that. I thought the reffing sucked game 2, but thats because Rockets lost, its natural.

Yea and so that techinical on Joel was...........

No technical, and then all the sudden it is only a 2 point game at the end. Sometimes one bad call is enough ot jack a game.

Your post sounds like it comes from someone with a mild form of retardation. Just saying...

That technical Pryzbilla was bogus, I agree. But this is faulty logic. Just because an extra point given earlier in the game doesn't happen, that doesn't mean the rest of the game plays out the same way. You can't say it would have ended up being only a 2-point game. Who really knows.

It's a great series. I'm looking forward to game 4.

And I would rather chew off my left hand than be given the task of trying to referee an NBA game.

Truth hurts? Go cry to mommy, dont bitch at me. Not my fault, I know you're mad and all and I would be too but when Rockets win, they win. When Blazers win, they win.

Mark Jackson should turn around and slap the crap outta that kid
lol, yeah - noticed that too.

No but I can base it off of what did happen. The technical awarded the free throw, and the rest of the game was played. If they had not called the technical, they would have still gone on and played the rest of the game, just as they had, with the difference on one technical not being shot. So it is as good as any basis to move with.

I'm sorry but if you don't think it is weird that Yao Ming had no fouls in the second half I don't know what to tell you.

Yao was almost a non-factor offensively and defensively he played very conservative and Roy kept settlings for jump shots that fell for him in Game 2. Those go around the pick and shoot kinda shots, but the defensive players I think did a much better job of going through the pick as well as having Yao step up and put a hand up. Didn't think Roy played as aggressive as Blazers needed him to play.

Truth hurts? Go cry to mommy? All consistent with one who rides in a small bus while doing his best to keep his retainer in his mouth and off of the school bus floor. When the Rockets win, they win? I thought this whole time when they win they actually lose. Odd use of logic there.

You're making the other people of Blazers forums look bad who actually are willing to talk about the game. This thread is about the game - talk about Roy - talk about Blazers' defense on Yao. Why are you targeting me? I stated a fact.

And btw keep the idiotic comments to yourself because it just sounds like you're the one who is all too familiar with the short bus ride and all the challenges you had to face doing it.

Yao played conservative? Try again, sport. You make it seem like Yao make the descision to have yet another craptastic game. The truth is that Yao was shut down for the most part by the defensive execution of the 20 year old rookie playing his first NBA playoff series away game.

I just thought stating that you will complain about the refs if your team loses and won't when they win is retarded. That is all.

You're right. That's not what you said. I retract my earlier comment. Work for you, chief?

It's all good bro. However, although you misunderstood what I said - you said something very correct. Oden played terrific defensively

Dude, relax why the bashing? I'm saying that because it happens every game, check game threads man - when you like your team a lot, its hard to accept another outplayed your team. I mean, even in Rockets huge victory in Game 1, people blamed refs. It happens almost every game.
