Love this image.

LOL @ Gary Payton! Nate repeated the comment his mother told him and Gary in the NBATV studio reiterated how stern Nate's mom was.

Come what may, I'm so damn proud of this team. They've consistently exceeded my expectations this season, are just fun to watch. If they win game 6 I might just have no choice but to kick down for season tickets next year... =)

He also played very effective defense on Yao, which was huge.

He rebounded when he could and blocked a couple shots, and hit two key FT down the stretch.

Very effective tonight.

effective in the 4th quarter, yes

Only 14 assists, only 20 pts in the paint.

Our edge was FT's and pts off TO's.

We really do need to fix the offensive problems before next game.

PM me and I'll tell you where to mail them to. :biglaugh:

I'm not gonna let this reffing decide the outcome of the game. You guys DESERVED it more, you guys played harder and made the necessary shots when needed the most. But seriously, the reffing has to remain consistent on both ends. Again nothing against Portland, you guys played great. Good game. I am looking for a tougher Game 6. Good luck to you guys. Houston needs to win this. I've watched us lose games like these over and over, and being a die-hard fan, I will cry myself to sleep if we don't win this series. We have never been up 3-1 and for us to drop this series, it'll be a heartbreaker. But Goodluck guys!

who was at moondoggies? i ended up there with my mom after dinner haha but there was a bar full of blazers fans i gotta think that one of you guys were there since you were the ones that recommended it to me!

Whew, thank goodness! I wasn't sure I'd be able to find someone who'd want em...

Your boy Sergio had a couple great dimes in his 5 minutes -- I wouldn't have minded seeing him in there a bit more.

By my count the refs still owe us 3 games.

The next 2, and 1 when we meet next year.

I'm sure Rudy, TO, Joel and Greg feel the same way.

They all shoot great when he's in, not so good when he's not.

Well Houston fans, how does it feel now that the shoe was on the other foot for a game. Pretty depressing I imagine.

I know I was depressed after games three and four.

There is not one doubt in my mind the Rockets got fucked in that game. There is not one chance that Portland only committed 2 fouls in the fourth quarter, especially considering they didn't play any differently then in games 3 and 4.

Now it comes down to game 6. I have no idea what will happen there. I am hoping for at least one game in this series to be called consistently. I have no idea if I am going to get my wish.

It sucks that Sergio's D is so horrible or else I'd love to have him out there more, only him and Rudy ever look to give it to Greg which is so refreshing.

Of Oden's 4 best lineups: Sergio is in one of them. (2)
Of Rudy's 4 best lineups: Sergio is in two of them. (2 & 3)
Of Travis' 4 best lineups: Sergio is in two of them (3 & 4)

Blake is in each of those three players "best" lineup, so it does not appear Maris' statement has much if any validity to it.

Not sure how accurate this stat is, but it's the best thing I could find.

I saw that too. Something tells me the NBA wants this series to go seven games. I think (hope) we see similar officiating in game six, and then in game seven the officials will call it straight up. That's what I'm hoping for. Will it happen? Who the fuck knows anymore.... :dunno:

To be fair, I thought the refs let us get away with much more than they allowed the Rockets to do. In that sense, it was like how the game was refereed in Game Three.

I don't want any side favored. I want the refs to pick what they're going to call and stick to it regardless of which team is commiting the fouls. At the end of the series, no matter the outcome, I want to know that each side was given a fair chance and the better/more clutch team won.

So do you guys think Nate's video he sent the league worked? :)

That was one of the best 25k Nate has ever spent. By the way, I want to give him some kudos for doing that. Part of remembering we have a young team, is we also have a young coach as well. He is still learning. Over the last 2 days, he has made adjustments on complaining about the ref screw job, and by inserting Rudy into the starting lineup in the 2nd half.

I also wanted to say, it was sure nice last night to see our bigs being more patient against Brooks and Wafer. Last night they were lurking, keeping within distance, and waiting for the block to come to them, rather than trying to body guys out or stay in front of them. Just lurk and block.
