But, to be fair, anyone who got that right either had a time machine or didn't know anything about basketball and was just guessing.
(Whatsisname that looks about 10 years old, coach of the Celtics, should EASILY win CoTY if they hadn't already made the decision months ago when Golden State and Atlanta were looking shit hot.)

Whatever forecast model they use wasn't so great because of those things. It's "chaos" - things that can't be modeled.

fivethirtyeight started doing baseball forecasts, I do believe.
