ultra popular here in hawaii also. WWII had a huge impact on this too. this is an example of one of the most popular snacks, breakfasts sold at mini marts here.(WIKI WIKI marts --fast fast store). it is the famous or infamous spam MUSUBI.LOL
Spam was very popular in WWII. It was also very popular among Koreans, and still is, because they were literally starving to death during the Korean War. Now look at those wealthy rascals and compare them with the North Koreans. Looks like the South Koreans made the right choice, Spam and all.
My wife likes to eat it fried 'till slightly crispy along with sticky rice, some of that seaweed and some sort of kimchee such as Chinese cabbage kimchee or cucumber kimchee. You're gonna need some sort of soft drink to wash that salty taste down. Personally, I prefer the more fermented cucumber kimchee. My wife complains that I like my kimchee more sour than she does and I complain that she likes hers more spicy hot than I do.ultra popular here in hawaii also. I'm telling you right now that I could enjoy eating what you are depicting and especially if I had some authentic kimchee to go with it.

I was talking about the oysters.Nancy was the one stated real men wear mask....lol
Yeah, and you don't eat delicious ham either nor jumbo shrimp nor lobster nor bacon nor sausage nor even Dungeness crab. What about clam chowder? Not kosher.
I know you are a fella that has indulged in many new foods, I too have a Koren immediate family member, so I know you have explored many Koren dishes. Now's the time to share with her what is a truly American specialty!I was talking about the oysters.
Man Lanny, I though you were a bit old to transition?I'm not a real man.
Just copped the $120 pot and pan set at Costco by Kirland Signature. I had too many mismatched shit, shit was old, etc. So tossed out the old ones and got some non-stick shit. We'll see how it is.
May replace all my kitchen knives with their Cangshen set. I have a Shun Classic set right now (pretty old set, maybe 15 years old), but I need to sharpen and refinish the handles and when its all said and done, it'll prob cost me as much as a new set of these Chinese knives imitating Japanese ones.
Just curious: Will you be registered anywhere? A GREAT way to get the stuff you really want.
Go for the Henkels made in Germany and not the ones made in China.Just copped the $120 pot and pan set at Costco by Kirland Signature. I had too many mismatched shit, shit was old, etc. So tossed out the old ones and got some non-stick shit. We'll see how it is.

Also, don't throw away the old stuff but give it to Goodwill. it will provide jobs for the handicapped and the poor will have something to buy cheap that they can get good use out of. Think how good you'll feel doing good for others.
I wouldn't bother with the whole set of non-stick personally, but I have a set of pans from Kirkland brand, really solid handle and bottom. Shit is better than anyone else's stuff I've cooked on
