I agree, there's a slim chance we could get a game changer at 10. Maaaybe if we got Donte...haha, seriously, I'm not so sure tho.

I think that we should keep our 10th pick and hope for the best.. unless we are involed in a blockbuster trade for Melo & Brand or someone else that comes up.. But the 10th pick isnt so bad... its produced some good players over the past 10 years? Examples in 98 Paul pierce drafted with the 10th pick, in 99 Jason Terry got drafted @ 10th.. K Dooling in 2000, Joe Johnson in 2001, Caron Butler in 2002, Jarvis Hayes in 2003, Luke Jackson in 2004, Andrew Bynum in 2005, S Sene in 2006 and in 2007 Spencer Hawes. My point is the 10th pick isn't such a bad place as some people make it to be.. and we might just get lucky and find a gem.

Is anyone that the Nets pick at #10 going to be better than Carmelo? I don't think so. So, unless you can't get Carmelo, Brand or w/e, you trade the pick.

Definitely some good picks at 10. But for some reason, luck and the Nets don't seem to work out too well.

They are working out pretty well, but clearly not well enough or we wouldn't be targeting a big man in the first round for about the millionth time.

I don't think you're being fair J-Hoagz. Nets are not targeting a big man. Nets are looking for the best player available, but we have a "franchise" point guard, a fading superstar shooting guard and a borderline all-star small forward. That only leaves PF and C positions to be filled. Most people dont want to look for great backups. People want stars. Getting a star with the 10th pick is more about luck than skill.

We should still take the BPA. I wouldn't mind picking Gordon or Augustin and going small with Jefferson at the 4 if we bring back Diop or Krstic. Especially since there will probably be a nice wing to back up Harris or Carter at #21.
