Well remember, we're supposed to always agree with posters and aren't allowed to point out posts that are obviously not done with good intentions.

Which is why I always point out your posts, you bum!

Gosh.... such a toxic mod..... sorry.... GLOBAL MOD.

Your mother would be so ashamed.

To Dominhatin’s point (and maybe this discussion needs to move into the OT forum) there is a social instinct to pathologize behaviors that are functionally harmless because they ask society to shoulder slightly more patience and compassion. People hate accommodating others in general; they’d rather spend billions and decades to eradicate these harmless behaviors than change anything about their own behaviors.

You have to include "viewing their existence" into "accommodating," too.

It's not a matter even of lifting a finger to show consideration. It's a matter that they'll go out of their way to try to make life harder for people who are just living their lives on their own and minding their own business who have no impact on them whatsoever. They're offended by the very existence of someone that lives life in a slightly different way just because that person lives in a slightly different way, so they have to try to eradicate it. It could very easily be live and let live, but they choose for it not to be.

Sure but calling it whack a doodle, pulling a spectrum card, and the flavor of the week is super damaging. Instead of doing that people should try to understand others more. Not just make fun. It is harder to build up understanding than it is to tear it down.

That's why I didn't like (or, more accurately, rescinded my like) after reading the whole thing. I think there was a good point in there. Then it went off the rails in that last line that was like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Whats with the random bump about Snell? It's not like he self diagnosed it. Such a weird and random take.

Ooh wait, I see who posted it. Nevermind, they know Dame!
The last parent of this post! AMAZING!

Kind of curious why a "global moderator" makes such posts as this. The "they know Dame" thing sounds like an elementary school kid's attempt to belittle others and draw attention off themselves to hide their insecurities and shortcomings. Rather childish behavior, is it not?
The only thing childlike are your posts FAMS! As if an elementary school aged child stole your password and started throwing up all over a keyboard.

Like what is starting to seem like the norm with this guy he makes a point. This time about autism and then simply makes a mess in the way it’s presented.

Autism has a number of different disorders and diagnoses. The “Spectrum Disorder “ card as he has called it is very real and in my opinion through experience should not be minimized. Maybe he considers it just a passing phase by calling it the flavor of the week. I most certainly hope that is not the case and people continue to educate themselves about autism.
