Trump in his campaign speech proclaimed we're now building a beautiful wall on the border of C0lorado and one in New Mexico too...big beautiful walls....the guy doesn't even realize Colorado borders New Mexico, not Mexico...…..Mexico could just steal New Mexico now and Trump wouldn't notice it's gone! He'll fix it with a sharpie for sure

Hey, that's profiling !...and it's gotta be "fake news".......because Trump is a very "stable genius".

The question is - did New Mexico pay for it. Also, I have seen Breaking Bad and there are criminals there - so, there is a reason to build that wall.

Very true statement for me. Look, had I known Trump was gonna pull these number of shenanigans we're all witnessing these days, I may very well have re-thunk that strategy. But, at the time, I was so bent on Hillary NOT becoming our President, I HAD to vote for Trump. Any vote for a 3rd party candidate would have lessened his chances of beating her. We can debate the single-issue voting stance all day long, but in the grand scheme of things, my vote at that point in time was truly against Hillary. I SO wanted Kasich, though.

All one had to do is research his history and listen to how he was talking during the republican primary and then during the general election to know that this guy is clueless and would be horrible for the country.

I hear ya...

lol...now Trump is tweeting that he was only "kidding" when he said "we're gonna build a wall in Colorado".

Yup, I shit you not.
I've been trying to get my wife to move to a foreign country for years, maybe this is my chance... Probably not though... Something about family and all that stuff.

I recommend it..changed my view of the world in the couple decades I lived overseas.....America doesn't seem so big and important when you live outside of it. You get better world news as well. Here sports, politics and entertainment in general clutter up all the space on the news in my view. It's also been proven that children who learn another language do better in academics than those with only one language skill. With Skype or Facetime you can talk to your relatives everyday from most places without living there. When my wife and son went to visit family in Taiwan a few years ago we talked on Skype twice a day...amazing tool for the ex pat

The man has no integrity and no convictions...he just craves an audience that adores him...nothing else matters...his defense is childish...he'll just say anybody is dumb as a rock...even people he hired and praised like his generals and cabinet members....which is weird because Trump is such a cream puff trying to be a bully....he uses words like Lynch mob because he wants to sound like John Wayne in a cowboy movie...the guy is that shallow.

The American people (well, the reasonable ones) should tweet back that they were kidding when they voted for him.

And I'll ask the same question I've been asking for years now, "How can his followers continue to support him and when will they grow a backbone?"

Senator Lindsey Graham introducing a resolution in the Senate, condemning the Democrats impeachment inquiry.
It was 41 senators signed up when he when on TV with it. Now it is up to 44. Either number is enough to prevent an impeachment conviction in the Senate. A few more and it won't even get to the floor.

So now the democrats are just playing political games with impeachment which has zero chance in reality.
Precisely what Alexander Hamilton admonished in Federalist paper #65, should never happen.
Never the less, the Dems proceed. I would imagine there will be enough people remember them for this folly.

The fact that Republicans are corrupt does not absolve Democrats from doing their constitutional duty.

Following the constitution and using the legislative branch for the checks and balances it's designed for is what is going on...the corruption is on record. Lot of assumption in your post about game playing when they are doing the job they're elected to do....doesn't bode well for compulsive liars, that's why they're so scared in the GOP....they are trying desperately to do damage control for their party ahead of elections...and it's not easy to do given the long assed trail of lies Trump has committed habitually...you are defending a liar for a reason I'll never understand ...I do understand your disdain for the democrats but Trump has no political loyalty to anyone but Trump...you either are in his fan club or you see him for what he is...a bad reality tv personality who will cheat to win

I know the both-sideism argument isnt always good or applicable, but I kind of feel like both sides are willing to cheat to win, and that most of this is just politics... My only caveat to that is, I do believe there’s cause for the inquiry, Im much more annoyed at what the Republicans are doing in this, then what the dems are doing.

I think it's fairly obvious that flip-flop Graham has no soul and no conscience.

Be honest, if you were the POTUS, would behave like Trump?...simple yes or no will do.

^^^pretty much sums up my feelings.

you likely won’t get an answer. Whenever I ask questions like this they go silent.

The Republicans are clearly in the wrong on this. There is plenty of evidence that there should be an investigation into Trump and an impeachment. The Republicans have predetermined they will block it from happening. Why? Because they are a bunch of immoral and gutless cowards.

Damn near needed Pop Corn to get thought that spiel.

I said it when Trump was nominated and I'll say it again, the GOP as we know it, is dead.

Then again, I've never understood the rationale of a 2 party system and the Dems are just as dysfunctional...why not just have a singular "Common Sense Party"?

...with TERM LIMITS of course.

I know this question was for someone else but it did get me thinking a bit... So on one hand I think Trump has brought a lot of it on himself, on the other hand how would any of us react with constantly being under fire? Would we fire back? Would get into asking foreign countries to help us dig up dirt on people? Would we undermine our own “intelligence” agencies, would we get angry and act on it? Personally I would hope I handled that stuff much more in line with how Obama, or Bush or most of the presidents before him have, but honestly Im not totally sure how Id react to that. More importantly, Id hope to not create the environment he has or to bring that upon myself. It is interesting though...

doing their constitutional duty.

I am very sorry to see there are indeed people that would call this shame, any kind of duty.

I think we are exactly where Mr. Hamilton feared.

AH.
"A well-constituted court for the trial of impeachments is an object not more to be desired than difficult to be obtained in a government wholly elective. The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated POLITICAL, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself. The prosecution of them, for this reason, will seldom fail to agitate the passions of the whole community, and to divide it into parties more or less friendly or inimical to the accused. In many cases it will connect itself with the pre-existing factions, and will enlist all their animosities, partialities, influence, and interest on one side or on the other; and in such cases there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.

The delicacy and magnitude of a trust which so deeply concerns the political reputation and existence of every man engaged in the administration of public affairs, speak for themselves. The difficulty of placing it rightly, in a government resting entirely on the basis of periodical elections, will as readily be perceived, when it is considered that the most conspicuous characters in it will, from that circumstance, be too often the leaders or the tools of the most cunning or the most numerous faction, and on this account, can hardly be expected to possess the requisite neutrality towards those whose conduct may be the subject of scrutiny."

Trumps crime, high or not is that he won the last election.
There is no Constitutional mandate to hold impeachment inquiries. This is noise by the tools, cunning hopefuls, of the most numerous faction.

Yes, Trump is the Father of 99% of his problems, and the reason he stays under fire is because of the bombastic stance/attitude he exhibits nearly every day.

He's a grotesquely insecure individual who cannot handle being disputed on anything...and I may or may not be the first to say it but I want to see him in jail for what he's done and for what he hasn't done.
