Clippers: Guess we'd have to ask Kawhi how he feels about a CJ-George swap.
LOL...and it could be true
something does appear off for the Clippers. They should be better than they are, IMO. Could it be that as wings, Kawhi and PG13 have some of the same redundancy issues Dame and CJ have as guards?
they'd want considerably more than CJ though, considering the price they paid to land George. Maybe Ballmer and Jody Allen can compromise over the objections of Olshey
Dallas: Do we want to try KP at PF?
oh gawd...an injury prone big man. Blazers try to corner the market
I'd have no interest in KP. Even though my rep is a CJ-hater, I don't think KP is any better than CJ. Maybe the fit would be better, but it's never a good fit in street clothes
stepping back a month or so I can see a trade of two with Dallas that didn't include KP, and might have made some sense for both teams

I think you may be right that if the world spins off it's axis and Olshey shops CJ it might have to be a 3-team deal.
I do think it's a mistake to limit trade ideas to just CJ (plus) for '
pick-your-all-star' deals. The fact that Portland might have Powell to step into CJ's starting role is a good foundation for a trade. Is Powell really a downgrade from CJ?
for instance, in an alternate reality, would the Blazers have been better off with a Dame-Powell-RoCo-Aaron Gordan-Nurk lineup while gaining 15-18M in flexibility under the tax line? If you don't like Gordon, then think of non-all-star forwards like Jeremi Grant or Chris Boucher or Brandon Clarke
