We waited till we were older to have kids as well. Think we saved ourselves a lot of drama by being financially set. Goal has always been to allow them to do any program or sport they want. Have never had to say no because of money or time.

Sleep the first couple of years was tough but we travel atleast 3X more now than before having kids.

Congrats Mick! You're life as you've known it will never be the same but the rewards are awesome. I've recently become a great grandfather for the first time....went out with my son yesterday for some quality one on one time..he's my youngest and he's 32. We're really close and the diapers and terrible twos and lost sleep will pass in short time. My son is going through that now with a 3 yeear old and a 1 year old.
