Frack Blazersedge: Discussing if the Blazers should trade for Kobe

It would give us more experience.

Okay first off, it's gonna take more than Nick and spare parts. Most likely it's Matthews, t rob and Batum for Kobe.

So before anyone, and I mean anyone thinks we can grab kobe for Batum, robinson and change is fucking high.

Second... I will not condone smoking crack and posting in here

Kobe has a no trade clause he could deny a trade if he thought his new team were giving up too much.

Guess it's moot then huh? Lakers won't let him go for shit. They would be fine with keeping him a Laker for life. 2 more years of this ain't that long to wait before you rebuild

Blazers Edge should lose access to the internet for posting that.

They should interview the players to find out what they think about the trade...oh wait.

Language censorship. Seriously?

There is a RSS feed on the Blazers main page that displays our thread titles. They've asked us not to have cussing in thread titles. We can cuss in the threads. We've been taking out the swear words in thread titles for over a year now.

Steve Blake is a Kobe favorite. Maybe he is whispering sweet nothings into kobes ears so the bromance can continue

Lillard and Kobe also have a mutual respect for each other.

Even though he's old and I've been a staunch Kobe hater for much of his career, if Wes is going to command too much this summer to the Blazers to match, I'd probably want to do this.

No. Absolutely no. It's the same way I felt when Favre joined the Vikings. I'd hated him for 15 years, and I wasn't about to start liking him just because he joined my favorite team. The only good that came out of it was the definitive knowledge of how I'd feel about the prospect of something similar ever happening again. That 2009 NFL season was miserable for me, and for that reason I know I'd be incapable of rooting for a Blazer team that included Kobe.

Kaman wasn't thrilled with it when he was a Laker

No offense to Mr. Kaman, but I don't care if he's thrilled or not. I dislike Kobe more than just a little bit, but there's no denying that if, by some miracle, you could convince him to play the same role Paul Pierce is playing for the Wizards as a sort of super-sub, he'd instantly bolster this team's championship chances. Kaman putting up 8 a night in 20 minutes just doesn't have that impact.

If it's any consolation, most Packers fans didn't have much fun that year either ... I won't lie, that NFC title game felt pretty good though ;)

Who do you want to take the last shot with the game on the line? If you have Kobe then its going to be him taking a contested bad shot against 2 or 3 defenders. I'd rather have Lillard take it, so on that basis alone - even though they are a ton of other reasons - i wouldn't do it.

I think Kobe is in decline, an injury waiting to happen, a low character locker room guy and one of the most selfish teammates you could sign..and did I mention way overpaid? I want depth on the bench. I don't think Kobe is that. People complained about Mo chucking and not being able to defend. Kobe is that and more. It'd be like MJ joining the Wizard, you'd get a couple of 50 pt games from him but for the most part he'd be bagged in ice and 2 steps too slow on the court

I literally can't look at his rat face. I look away from the TV when that mug is there. I wouldn't be able to watch the the Blazers if they ever signed him. Good thing the chances are slim and none.

Wouldn't it be great if Kobe went to NY and NY missed the playoffs while Linsanity makes the playoffs in LA?

In the recent past Kobe said after his Laker days were finished, he'd play in Italy to return to his roots there.

Kobe westbrook harden 3 names that if ever on a blazer uniform ill switch to college basketball for the season.

Batum +Claver + Wright + CJ + Leonard + Claver works cap wise. But LA couldn't have that many people on their roster without waiving people right?
