Frank noted that Carter is averaging 25 6 and 5 and asked, "list another two guard who has done that?" Dave D. admits VC is playing well and knows that Frank is a big fan...but oh that inconsistency. Meanwhile, Frank talked about what separates him from his mentor, Bobby Knight.</div>

Vince is averaging 25 ppg, 5.8 rpg, and 4.5 apg.

The only wing guys to be averaging at least 25 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 4.5 apg are Kobe and Lebron, although there are half a dozen other players close statistically.

Vince is still performing at a high level. Frank is right. The Nets just need people to get healthy.

I think Vince Carter is one of, if not the most underated player in the league. The guy can Shoot, Drive, Pass, Rebound etc. He always seems to get a negative wrap though.

He has had a negative wrap all season, because he wasn't playing to his full potential. One night he plays really well, next night he slacks off, and doesn't contribute. Therefore, he can't be underrated.

Yea, he's hardly underrated. Actually, I'd say he's a tad overrated since he made the All-Star game. Nevertheless, he's been on a tear this past week.

I disagree, his averages are amongst the best in the league, so he's on his game alot more than he is off it, everyone has their off nights, its just apart of the game. Kobe, Gilbert, LeBron etc. all go through the same.

Trust me, if you have watched as much of Nets games as me, I think you might agree. Not to mention he has had a handful of bad shooting nights where he still managed to match his average. He would get 27,28 points etc, on awful shooting percentages. That would really kill us, and at times during the 4 quarter he would relax, and shine away from what he should be doing.
He would take bad shots, instead of driving in to draw fouls.. He would just make bad decisions on offense/defense, and it's happened multiple times, so you can't excuse it with a off night.

I think when Vince plays like this he is underrated. He is playing like a Kobe and Lebron, but he still isn't getting anytime on ESPN and neither are the Nets.
