Georgia father-of-one, 25, is shot dead at home by his one-year-old son who found his loaded gun and fired it
  • Dustin Walters, 25, the father of a one-year-old boy, was accidentally shot dead inside his home in Savannah on December 5 by a toddler, aged one
  • Police said the toddler found the loaded gun and pulled the trigger on Dustin Walter, 25, while family members were in the house
  • Walters was taken to Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead
  • The accidental shooting happened around 5.30p.m. inside his home on the 100 block of East 64th Street
  • Police would not confirm if the toddler who pulled the trigger was Walters' son

Kids school been on lockdown for the last two hours. Some note found about a shooting. Kids stay in class and cops going door to door patting people down. Kid was arrested last week I guess with guns in his car. We had no clue till today.

They are still going floor by floor (3), patting every kid down, looking at backpacks, etc. Mine is still sitting in same class. The junior high was just taken off being “secured” and are back to normal. There’s this TikTok think going around the country about school shootings ln Dec 17, so I doubt our school will even be open tomorrow with that and todays events. What a sad state of affairs we are in.

It's disgusting. We just received an email from the principle. Saying there was a threat online for a GHS and the kids are all freaking out. Said it was a different GHS in another state. Just can't believe they have to worry about this shit. As if a teen these days doesn't have enough on their plate.
 
Some kid said something at one of the middle schools in Oregon City as well.

Police department thoroughly investigated and gave the all clear...

I would share the photo but it has bad language on it. It was going around yesterday saying Gresham High School.

Gresham high school district sent out an email saying it ended up being a school in California. But the threat was not credible.

Yeah I think considering everything however small the chances are, with the crazies out there it might make sense. Fucking crazy this is even a thing we deal with. My junior high kid who was held in classroom today told me he had a sub in music. Someone knocked on door “it’s Mr Mills, principal”. Sub walks over to open door and the class of 7th graders goes “noooo can’t open door. Anyone who is supposed to be in here has a key”. Sub goes oh yes. Good point. This is what my 12 year old did today. Principal (idiot) went and got his key and came back

My daughter said her friend at LO were on lockdown. Somebody sent a note to the office that they were going to shoot up the school! FUCK!!!!

Seriously though, we've had guns for hundreds of years. And in higher percentage of homes than we have now. This has been a problem for last 25yrs or so...

No matter what law you pass, you will not remove enough guns to eliminate the risk of shootings happening, and certainly not the risk of threats.

All you can do is be able to defend our kids and help people be better. Teach our kids how to handle these situations...
