Notice From My Cold Dead Hands......

British media outlet tried to ask Ted Cruz why these mass shootings don't happen in other countries. He attacked Democrats. Because.
He can't answer it because Republicans are opposed to every possible solution that could help... And they support forced pregnancy, which would undoubtedly cause the problem to get significantly worse.

Even if they say "better security" at schools, they will not vote for the funding to make that happen.

Quickest way to address this problem. It may not be the ideal solution, but it's likely the most attainable.

Notice how quickly police acted when Beto O'Rourke crashed Abbott's press conference?

Oklahoma acted quickly to protect children ... by banning transgender students from school restrooms.

Jordan Klepper Debunks The “Good Guy with a Gun” Argument

1791. Cool.
Yep, and it holds true today. Until you can show me a plan that will eliminate criminals from having guns before it limits my wife having a gun for self defense I'm going to support it.

Do you honestly expect me to put my faith in the police to come save my family if I'm not around? After what we've just witnessed? Is that the argument you're making?

Get a handle on internet propaganda? Seems like to protect the 2nd amendment, you want to infringe on the 1st.

May i ask, because it seems like a gray area to me(internet rights vs free speech rights), what part of internet information does the 1st amendment protect?
I know twitter and other places have regularly monitored and removed posts they deem as potential hazards or misdirection to/of the public.
Would that not be the same as getting a handle on internet propaganda, and if so, what is the difference between that and other internet propaganda regarding the 2nd amendment, gun laws/restrictions and the projection of who is for/against the right to bare arms?

Texas cop says officers didn't rush to find gunman because 'they could have been shot' then claims they DELIBERATELY locked inside classroom to save other students: Experts slam 'disgusting' decision that doctors say sealed the fate of injured kids
  • Texas DPT Lt Chris Olivarez claimed said on Thursday night cops hung back after Salvador Ramos opened fire because they didn't want to get shot themselves
  • He then appeared to suggest it was a tactical decision by the police to trap the gunman in the classroom where he slaughtered 19 kids and two teachers
  • Cops previously said the gunman barricaded himself in the room and anonymous law enforcement sources said they couldn't get in without a key
  • It left the gunman alone with the group of kids and teachers for an hour and meant some kids bled out from their injuries
  • School resource officers and police experts say it was a 'disgusting' decision that should never have been made
  • Doctors say the leading cause of death in gunshot wound victims is bleeding out which happens in 5 minutes
  • At least two of the 19 kids who died on Tuesday died on their way to the hospital for treatment an hour after being shot
Texas cops said last night that they didn't immediately rush in to find the shooter on Tuesday's attack after being shot at because they feared they might be killed, and even suggested that they deliberately locked the gunman in the classroom where he slaughtered 21 people in order to trap him.

Department of Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez made the astonishing comments during an appearance on CNN last night.

He was being challenged by Wolf Blitzer over why the first officers who responded to the shooting retreated after Salvador Ramos shot at them with his AR-15 and then waited an hour for tactical SWAT teams to take him out, leaving him alone in a classroom with the 19 fourth graders and two teachers who he slaughtered.

We are never going to get a complete and accurate account of what happened by the police. At this point, the FBI needs to take over the investigation.

I don’t have a problem with a handgun in a safe at home with kids having no way to access it. Everything else can go fuck itself. ARs, 18 year olds, shitty safeguarding, walking in Walmart with your assault rifles over your shoulder, buying and selling illegally, moms and dads gifting teens, war weapons with no purpose besides mass killings, buying politicians, the list goes on, all that can fuck off.

But how does having a gun in a safe help my wife protect our kids when a criminal runs into the mall and starts hunting people down? Or when a fake cop pulls her over at night?

Or when the Asian hate turns it's attention to her and my daughters? We can try to avoid bad situations, but horrible things happen all the time. And we can't count on the police. We just can't.

We need to be allowed to carry if we are responsible citizens. There is no other equalizer.

I hung my flag yesterday for the Memorial Day weekend. And I put it at half mast. I'm struggling to understand why every flag in America isn't at half mast today. Apparently, 19 Hispanic kids aren't "American" enough..........

Edit: And I can't say I was particularly proud to fly our flag under current conditions......

11yr old girl talked to a CNN reporter about what happened.

They were in their classroom watching a movie.

The teacher heard there was a shooter in the school and went to the classroom door to lock it.

The teacher was then met at the door by the shooter.

He aimed his gun at her and backed her up to the teacher's desk.

He then told the teacher Good Night and shot her.

He turns to the kids and shot the girl next to the girl telling this account.

Shooter leaves and she can hear him go into the classroom next door and starts shooting. Kids screaming.

It was then the girl reached over to her friend who was dead and started covering herself in her friend's blood and played dead because she thought the shooter was going to come back.

She then hears a radio start playing really loud "sad music". She thinks the shooter turned it on.

She laid in her friend's blood for over an hour playing dead.

Where are the regulations?

Properly stored guns in safes where kids can't get access to them will stop many of these school shootings.

He went in multiple classrooms? I thought they had him pinned down?

Somehow well regulated is always ignored, and the shall not be infringed is shouted loudly.

Ok then we will continue to have kids taking parents guns and killing people I guess. You talk about small #’s or small % of improvement if we do XYZ, such and such won’t make a difference etc but what about the tiny tiny % of odds that your wife is going to get attacked?

So incredibly sad, but I must say, this child is extremely smart. In those circumstances I’m not sure many adults would have a quick thinking reaction like that.

Where are the regulations?

"Well-regulated in the 18th century tended to be something like well-organized, well-armed, well-disciplined," says Rakove. "It didn't mean 'regulation' in the sense that we use it now, in that it's not about the regulatory state. There's been nuance there. It means the militia was in an effective shape to fight." In other words, it didn't mean the state was controlling the militia in a certain way, but rather that the militia was prepared to do its duty.

That's why it has been determined that the founders wanted the individual people to be free to keep and use weapons comparable to what the standard infantry soldier used.

Press conference right now...

The officers on the scene decided this was not an active shooting but instead a barricaded suspect. If they had thought this was an active shooting they would have made entry.

Again, they thought it was a barricaded suspect and they thought there were no kids at risk.

A shooting at a fucking school and they thought no kids were at risk?!?

Properly stored guns in safes where kids can't get access to them will stop many of these school shootings.
So would preventing anybody who has history of domestic violence or history of abusing animals from legally accessing firearms.

And making sure there is only 1 entry point for schools, which is only unlocked to allow people inside when the office approves it (meaning all doors to outside are always locked from the outside).

That would eliminate school shootings like this almost entirely.

Of course you'll still have illicit activity on school grounds after hours, which is where the vast majority of "school shootings" happen. But we're going to have to get serious about our social policies.

They haven't told a lot of truth yet, and this sounds like another example. It will all come out eventually. They are hiding or covering something up that would reflect poorly on them.
