Not true. I've seen FBI stats that contradict that.
So, the states with the most gun violence are the states with the most guns. Red conservative states. Hmm.
doesn't look that way to me.
Gun violence is highest in cali, tx, florida., oh, pa and ga.
Low in the dakodas, mt, wy. Md, Ct, Ny, Nj
But guns owned are highest in wy, mt, wv, ar, ms, al, ak.
The maps pretty clearly show that states with high gun ownership do not have the high gun crimes,
not sure how you came to your conclusion?
Are you ok? Is there something wrong about hunting as a kid?WHaTaBOutHUntiNg

I haven't read the bill so unclear on the details. I agree kids should not have free roam to any guns without adult supervision. Parents should suffer stiff consequences if their child gets their gun and uses it to harm anyone.Senator Coons made it clear his bill was about gun storage, not hunting trips under adult supervision.
I'm no hunter but pretty sure hunters don't use assault weapons for deer or pheasant.
Because it’s so stupid that someone posts “we should keep guns out of kids hands” and the first reaction by someone is no wait what about hunting. No one cares if you hunt. That’s not what he was fucking talking about. Are you ok? Is there something wrong about hunting as a kid?
There is nothing wrong with hunting as a kid with adult supervision.
You are such a treat.
Thank you for being reasonable.I don't think there is anything wrong with teaching a kid to hunt. At what age is that appropriate is a good question. But, as long as the parent(s) are responsible and teach the kid the dangers and responsibility of using a gun, and lock them away when not hunting with them, I don't see the issue.
Great then please stop tryingHunting is not keeping guns out of kids hands. See my post above about mountain lions, bears, coyotes.
These posts continue to show the lack of maturity in having a reasonable conversation.
No thanks. I'm not the one acting like a child.Great then please stop trying

Yeah. Parents , family friends etc. that don't lock up their guns and ensure kids can't get them should be charged very harshly. No sympathy for them. Most school shooters are too young to legally purchase guns. Mostly they take guns belonging to parents, family friends, other
I was taught to hunt with one bullet and until that bullet brought food to the table I wouldn't get another one....we butchered cattle on the farm and killing animals was required from time to time...this is on a 300 acre farm 3 miles from a town with 75 people....rural folks aren't usually found shooting up schools and malls....that's an urban problem. I've lived in countries where you're not allowed to have guns and the freedom that comes with the safety in those countries is pretty awesome...your chances of getting shot or you child shooting a school up are zero in countries with strict gun ownership laws and in modern america.....few guns are purchased for the purpose of hunting or feeding the family...they are overwhelmingly for personal power and protection which, without guns everywhere would not be necessary. Manually chambered hunting rifles are not the problem in this country...it's assault weapons or pistols that are used to kill people for the most part; I think it's the type of guns that has escalated the scope of public shootings as much as anything besides a serious need for anger management and mental health awareness...I own a rifle and a shotgun for cougars or bear etc...although I've never had reason to shoot a cougar or bear so it's a useless thing to have from my experience....I hunt mushrooms and fish but haven't shot wild game with a gun since 1969...even back then I preferred bow hunting to guns.
If a a mountain lion is coming at you, you surely are not going to have time to pull out your rifle and shoot it. That's what a pistol or shotgun or whatever is for.
What a stupid thing to say. I have been out in the woods and have seen a mountain lion while hunting. Have you?If you are seriously worried about mountain lion attacks you should probably just stay out of the woods.
It's like thinking cities are unsafe because a gun safe might fall out of a window and smash you into the sidewalk.

A shotgun is even better at protecting your family.I don't think anyone outside the military really needs to have an assault rifle. I get there are collectors. There are also people who are doing it in an overindulgent way to recognize the 2nd amendment. It really comes off as egotistical, immoderate, and over compensatory though. A handgun is sufficient at protecting your family if you really need a gun.

It did not. But it definitely was interested in what I was doing. Glad I had my pistol in case it did come at me.No, but I've seen a mountain lion while not hunting. It didn't attack me. Did the one you saw attack you? I bet it didn't.

Most school shooters are too young to legally purchase guns. Mostly they take guns belonging to parents, family friends, otherwise easily accessible. Only in America is the idea of them not being accessible controversial.
Republicans are increasingly gun obsessed as part of worship of toxic masculinity. Look how many pose with guns, often aimed at people with whom they disagree.
Spoken like someone who doesn't hunt. Easy for you to say you don't need something out there when you aren't out there. They can and do attack hunters. As well as other animals that could attack hunters.I'm sure you felt safer. But you were very safe even without the firearm. Mountain lion attacks are an extremely rare event. Much more likely to be hit by a falling tree, or lightning, or fall down a hill, or have a heart attack, or get lost in the woods, or get a snakebite, or be killed by another human shooting at what he thought was game, or ...

I think we might have found a possible solution then...
Allow mountain lions to go to school.
