I just found out that the NBA LeaguePass does not come in HD!!!!!!!!! What the Fuck!??!!??

neither do most of the comcast nw hd channel games :P

If the Blazers are on NBA LP, why don't you guys get DirecTV? TONS of HD.

Have any of you guys had nba league pass broadband before? Because I was thinking about subscribing to the nbatv league pass via broadband.

Questions:
1. Which Blazer games are blacked out? I live in Troutdale, OR. I would be fine for being blacked out for KGW games, but not okay with being blacked out for comcast sports net games. If thats the case, this would be a horrible deal for me.
2. I dont care much for watching other teams, so is the choice package where you can only watch up to 7 teams more ideal for me? Or is there benefits to the complete package that I dont know about.
3. If the games are on say TNT or ESPN, will it still be on league pass cause I will be traveling sometimes?

Thanks in advance.

1. ALL Blazer games will be blacked out. KGW or CSN, it doesn't matter.
2. I don't know of any benefits, other than being able to see virtually any game.
3. Not that I'm aware of.

Thanks! So pretty much it would be pointless for me to get this. I hate comcast!

I am watching my freshly installed Comcast HD right now. TNT game night baby!

Had the league pass on Dish for the past 7 years. All the Blazer games are blacked out locally. When you sign up now you get the NBA Broadband for free. You can watch 3 games at a time, I love it. Also this season, there is a DVR function and a full season archive where you can watch any game for any team over the course of the season. I'm assuming because all the blazer games are blacked out locally, you wouldn't be able to watch the archived games either.

I don't think they can black out the KGW and the TNT games.

What determines a broadband blackout?

A broadband blackout is determined by the zip code location associated with your Internet Service Providers (ISP) account. Our system uses this information to confirm your location and to restrict access to regionally televised and national televised games.

For example: If a customer lives in California and purchased his subscription there; then traveled to Michigan, he would be blacked out in Michigan.

We do not support the use of VPN (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vpn), internet accelerators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_accelerator), or proxies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server). VPNs, internet accelerators or proxies make users look like they are in a different location than they actually are. Note that the google web accelerator (http://webaccelerator.google.com/) is an example of a service which will result in incorrect blackouts,

You can verify your IP location by going to www.ip2location.com. Your location is listed in the middle of the page. If your internet service provider is using a proxy server, you could show up as being in another location, which would cause you to be blacked out.

Ummm.....

I just looked up the teams that are playing.

Denver vs. @$%#@s.

Yeah, great.

See, I'm a basketball fan. I will watch a Hawks vs Clippers game if I could! That is why I love the LeaguePass!

Would it solve the problem of blacking out csn games, if I had my sister from Seattle, Washington purchase the package and just use her account?

Seattle's in the blackout area also.

But I imagine you could get a slingbox feed from her CSNNW to your computer or something. We get that up here on channel 179.

I'll drink to that.. just watching a good NBA game is a blast to me!

Think I found an answer, buddy of mine lives in Visilia, CA. Should work right? Remember this is for broadband.

I remember Antonio Harvey talking during a summer league game that he broadcasted how much he loved NBA league pass. I think he mentioned that he wasn't able to see the local games depending on what city he is in. So league pass probably checks your ip to see where you are to decide which games to black out.

True. I wanted to watch a Heat game when we had an off night in Miami and it didn't work!
