All this time I had no idea that the ICE HQ is A: right off of Macadam, B: close to the Old Spaghetti Factory and C: right next to where 105.1 the game is.

Black people knew this intimately when That BITCH kicked in Botham Jean's door and killed him while he was sitting in his own living room eating ice cream.
We knew this when Atatiana Jefferson was killed by police while playing video games with her nephew. We knew this when Breonna Taylor was killed by police while sleeping in her bed.

This ain't new to us yo...

You are talking about isolated incidents based on bad information or mistakes. Terrible, horrible (criminal) mistakes that should have never happened.

What's happening now is definitely new to us all. This rises above criminal.

It's BEEN a dictatorship. We tried to tell y'all 100+ years ago. Black people have ALWAYS lived under dictatorship. We've never had true small d democracy.

I know you didn't just try to oppression olympics me? They are no different. They are the same things. The people who look like me have never had real rights.

My cousin lives directly accross the street from the ICE facility. I was at his home last weekend visiting. One thing they've said (their balcony/patio is literally facing the facility)
is that they don't start getting violent with people until there are about 3 black people present.

Another thing Chris... Full stop on telling black folks the results of not being active. That's just kinda crazy. Most every democratic gain toward equality in t his country has been
spearheaded by people who look like me. Why do y'all need us? You don't. You outnumber the conservatives without us.

EVERYONE sold us the fuck out at the polls last year...

Sure, at the criminal level that may be true. But not the executive level.

We now have those kind of criminals at the executive level.

It's different. And if we don't change things it will last a very very long time. Until 2016 there was the very real possibility, and it even seemed likely that we would be able to make the systematic changes to drastically reduce those kind of racist hate crimes.

Our executives now want those kind of racist hate crimes to be standard operating procedure like we've not seen in our lives.

Stephen Miller literally said that if it were up to him he would reduce the US population to 100 million. There are about 50 million immigrants in this country. Do the math.

This is different.

D, I know the black community has been the backbone and most of the skeleton...hell most of the meat too...of the civil rights movement. This fact does not escape me.

We were headed in the right direction. I thought we were with Obama. But, it showed us there is still a large underbelly of racism in this country when Trump got voted in and then again. You know I'm not one to sit close mouthed when it comes to equality and racism. Unfortunately, it seems there are more conservatives than liberals these days. It's a steep hill to climb. MLK spoke of letting freedom ring on the mountainside, and you know I'm there.
