So I'm curious, how in the hell did you end up in Flint of all places?

How long have you been here?

How did you become a Blazer fan?

You go where the job takes you. I have a very specific set of skills.

How long have you been here?

Arrived in US in 1989. Moved to Flint 1999.

How did you become a Blazer fan?

Picked the wrong side in the '90 finals. Basketball is the only American sport I took to, but I took to it instantly (having never ever seen a game growing up in England - I guess I'd heard of Larry Bird and seen the Harlem Globetrotters on Scooby-Doo, but that's about it).

When I read Mick Jagger's book I was surprised to learn his father coached British basketball and Mick played it all his childhood...still does..that's like growing up in Flint and playing cricket....

Have you ever met Michael Moore?

Do you or have you in the past followed Trump's twitter account? Serious question here......Manchester United...Arsenal...Liverpool....who's your team?

Funny, you mention Michael Moore and I think ultra Left. The I character type him in my mind. Then I google the result and there he is, an ENFJ, in the Pop Culture section.

Left and Right is too narrow to hang on a man but character type will predict the lean.

LEEDS U-NI-TED! As you can see, I'm as good at picking my football teams as I am my basketball teams. But we'll always have the late '70s and early '90s.

There's a baseball diamond attached to one of the closed-down middle schools that dot the Flint landscape and I see a bunch of south-Asian students from the university playing Cricket from time to time. Warms my heart.

His sister-in-law ran my son's Montessori school, and, bizarrely, he showed up at one of the kids' art shows once.
An ex-colleague of mine was the guy who got him inside the GM truck plant when he was filming Roger & Me.

Does your son know you're a 'murica hating liberal?

So, you are employed to add lead to drinking water. That is a very specific skill.

I tell him repeatedly, "I hate you son, because you are American."

Reminds me, where's my father's day card? Little shit.

You mean he didn't tweet you one?

Does your son have dual British and American citizenship?

Like he would ever acknowledge his father online. He once got a glimpse of me typing on this message board and can't bring himself to look at me since.

Does your son have dual British and American citizenship?

No, but only because I've never gotten around to investigating it. He was born in Little Rock, for his sins.

More fun Rasta trivia: I have something in common with our last decent president: I have a Kenyan birth certificate.

Wow, that's interesting. My father has a Cuban birth certificate. How long did you live in Kenya? Have you been back?

6 months, sadly. My parents went there to teach after college. No, I've never been back. I could've had joint citizenship, but then I would've had to serve in the Kenyan military.

Too bad Russia didn't hack Kenya's military and find Obama's service records.

Not in person, no. I did meet up with Greg Lief from the old Blazers List Talk email list, but that was at a Clippers vs. Timberwolves game when Terry Porter was with Minnesota, so that was before several people reading this were born.

So you travel alot. It would be very cool if you booked one of those flights out to PDX for a meet and greet sometime. Just give Sly a few bones and he will figure out a couple of options for us to meet the team and front office and have a full tour of the stadium and practice facility and have a suite game with full amenities for anyone who wants to go. ;)
Just sayin' though, not that it matters of you do or should care, but I bet you'd be alot more understood on here, and have a good time with some good Blazers fans and probably have a great conversation or two. :)
Plus then you can see how much Portland wants tries to be unique, but doesn't really have anything unique to offer.
You have alot of Passion for things and whether I or others agree or disagree with what you are passionate about, its respectful.
