Ok, sorry to say this, but Meyers does have the distinction of being the only Blazer to have a - +/- tonight (of -1). But he wasn't bad. The core 9 players were fantastic tonight, especially with their energy on defense. T
Outrebounded the suns by 25.

I think the Blazers should really think about using a 10 man rotation. Who are you going to bump out of the rotation when CJ comes back? Use more guys so they can play with more energy.

Collins should play too. He's good enough. I agree, go with a bigger rotation.

A good antidote for a great offense is a great defense. I haven’t really watched them much except for this evening but have been paying attention to the numbers through the preseason. They are showing they can be pretty special defensively. For the last couple years I have felt they had the athletes and the size to be special. But tonight was pretty nice. They are really deep up front. And Connaughton? Who needs Alan.

Nice game by the Blazers. Let’s hope they have identified themselves. Finally.

We'd have a legit defensive paint presence on the court for 48 minutes. I love Collins future potential at center, but right now he's a PF. Davis is more of a four as well defensively. And let's be real, bigs don't usually play 82 games. I'd love that kind of depth.

Chandler knows Stotts' system. Leonard also has some connections with Phoenix' staff.

Usually when you win by around 50 you are not "winning ugly" but tonight I kind of felt like we did. Hark, Aminu, Nurk, ET.....4 of our 5 starters had subpar offensive games. But they all battled and were still effective.

Huge props to Pat and to Napier. Both filled a void tonight that I was worried about. Not just for this game but for the season. We need shooting off the bench so their play was great to see.

As for the D...... yeah I get that it was against a bad team. But you have to be encouraged by the improvement in the over all help defensive compared to the last few years.

I loved and hated that 1990-1992 Suns team. Chambers, Majerle and West were a helluva front court to go with the 1990’s version of Dame and CJ... hmmm you know... that might be who the 2017 Blazers remind me of...

The more I think about that trade it would have been a fucking nightmare. He would have run out of new things to do maybe two or three months into the season and started bitching to the press. And guess which Bald Headed Horses Ass would have been ready for it too?

It's one game. Let's see the offense flow for at least 20 games before considering that a blessing in disguise.

Oh my god that was glorious. Just watched the game on league pass and I couldn't be more excited for this season. Defense, Real fucking defense? I didn't know that was an option. Wow! The 3pt shooting was amazing, but I saw that coming. Loved seeing Dame and Nurk on the bench in the 4th, laughing and towel waving together. Let that happen frequently.

If the Blazers can play like that consistently, there is no ceiling. But I worry that having CJ back could derail the defense. I love CJ, but he's also a pretty lame defender.

I'm so excited right now. Just love these guys.
