Whatchu talkin bout Willis? Turner was great last night!

He was great for sure, but not so much with four other starters. The first 6-minute shift, he left when we were down by one. He was a +43 in the game, but he did his damage in the second and third quarters when he was effectively off the bench again.

ET started the 3rd when the Blazers had their best quarter. They might have been down early in the first, but that was a result of missed shots by Dame, Nurk, and Harkless...early on. But CJ will start so it is a moot point. I like ET off the bench, but my guess is he will finish a lot of games...with Dame, CJ, Nurk and Harkless.

He’s our Greg Anthony imho. So yeah I agree he’ll finish. I guess that first six minutes was rough because without CJ you had Dame and Four Guys. This by the way is the main case for why you need to keep Dame and CJ together. Pat isn’t going to blow up for 24 every night lol

I will say one thing about Aminu, other than the one time he reverted back to thinking he could dribble in traffic, he played very well. 2-4 form the field (1-2 from 3) is ideal IMO. He often had open shots that he passed up to a better shooter. He played good D and had 12 rebounds. I am not an Aminu fan but I have to give it up to him last night. He seemed to have played smarter.

I like how Aminu understands his role. I really like one sequence:

Dame: miss
Aminu: rebound, doesn't do anything fancy, just pass back to Dame.
Dame: miss
Aminu: rebound, doesn't do anything fancy, just pass back to Dame.
Dame: "Nah, man, I've shot twice, have a wide open 3, you deserve it".
Dame: drives, dishes to Aminu who is wide open.
Aminu: Swish3

Absolutely. I remember that sequence well. When Aminu is on the floor with Dame or CJ or both.....they are the first couple options.
But absolutely take a couple of 3's a game when wide open and it's not a quick shot. And please only corner 3's.

Vegas: Portland will beat Phoenix by 2.5 points.
Portland: Beats Phoenix by 48.
Vegas: Portland's win total will be 42.5.
Portland: Wins 52!!!!????!!!!!

I loved the effort on defence, more so cause it was against bad PHX team, long may it continue
keep fighting on that end, on both ends, and well be very, very good, like 5th seed good

At the 2:06 mark. This is such an I Drink Your Milkshake move.

Before I watch I'm going to venture a guess that it's when Harkless blocked Chriss' (?) shot, and then gave him a consoling pat on the back.

Yes, Turner's role should be to make the 2nd unit work as a unit. He should see minimal time alongside Dame, and zero time as a starter.

And they lost. And they're paying him $19 M to come off the bench.

Well, he's gonna start now since Lin injured his knee in the opener.

Now he's gonna get gameplanned against and we will watch a one dimensional player succumb to that one dimension.

So you're saying NBA teams don't bother to gameplan against bench players? No WONDER Iguodala won Finals MVP!
