There is just something that irks me about this new announce crew. They never quip, they're too professional. They lack character and it is so anti-Portland.

I'm down to give them some time. Calabro's been doing national for almost a decade--he'll grow into loving knowledgeable Blazers fans that he doesn't have to explain a pick-and-roll to (well, now that LMA is gone--I kid). Again, I think Lamar's trying a bit too hard, but that's understandable. I feel like Lamar is like the guy who wrote out his best raps before rolling into a battle. and is trying to use them up.

And Noah Vonleh is stroking it like Clarence Carter right now.

No, I think the problem is that this is the direction management wants to take. They want the team to appeal more to a national (or at least regional audience), and have hired guys that will forward their vision
