:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS GAME NOTES

• Wednesday marks the first of four regular season matchups between the Trail Blazers and Pelicans in 2015-16.

• Portland won all three of its games against New Orleans in 2014-15, two of which came at the Moda Center.

• The Trail Blazers have defeated the Pelicans in five consecutive regular season games and 11 of their past 14 contests dating back to the start of the 2011-12 season.

• Portland’s five-game winning streak over New Orleans matches a franchise best. The Trail Blazers defeated the Pelicans five straight times on one other occasion from 2011-12 to 2012-13.

• Portland has prevailed over New Orleans eight consecutive times at the Moda Center dating back to the 2010-11 season.

• New Orleans was 10-9 in the second game of back-to-backs last season, including a 99-90 loss to Portland at the Moda Center on the second game of a back-to-back on April 4. New Orleans plays at Golden State on Oct. 27 prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Trail Blazers.

• The Trail Blazers have held the Pelicans to under 100 points in each of the past four contests. During that time, New Orleans has averaged 91.3 points per game against Portland.

• Damian Lillard averaged 20.0 points on 20-of-49 shooting (15-15 FT) in three games against New Orleans last season. Lillard has scored in double figures in each of his 10 career games against the Pelicans.

• Trail Blazers forward Al-Farouq Aminu spent three seasons with New Orleans from 2011-12 to 2013-14, averaging 6.9 points (45.7% FG), 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 222 games (157 starts).

• Pelicans forward Alonzo Gee averaged 3.4 points in 15 games for Portland in 2014-15. Gee was acquired on Feb. 19 with Arron Affl alo from Denver in exchange for Will Barton, Victor Claver, Thomas Robinson and a 2016 (lottery protected) first round draft pick.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 24-19
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 15-6
AT THE PELICANS: Pelicans lead, 13-9

Interested to see how the hell Meyers will guard Davis?

If I were coach I might put Harkless in for him.

Their guards are good; Holiday can't play more then 15mins for stress fracture minute restriction though and Perkins lets us play 5vs4 defensively.

Go Blazers!

Awesome job!

Premature game thread! That's bad luck!
Now we are going to have to live with 81-1.

Just watch the GS and NO game and NO guards look bad especially on defense. Dame and CJ should have field day. Davis had bad shooting night but he was drawn away from the basket something Myers will do tomorrow so the lane will be open for Dame. Also not good rebound team.

So this dude is doing the game threads again!!?? Cmon!

Lillard cares more about rapping and shoes than basketball.

Cunningham AND Gee....that's just nuts that both those guys are starters.

This is the kind of game that's a really good barometer of whether my 43 win prediction is even close to realistic. This should be a pretty easy win if it is.

I think it's the other way around. I think we're gonna win 55. If we lose games like tomorrow's, maybe we'll only win 43.
