Fun tidbit: despite his nervous performance, Meyers led the Blazers in +/- at +29. He's valuable out there.

He spreads the defense, like Ryan Anderson was doing to us.

One mistake I saw though, regarding how we dealt with Anderson in the lineup. We should have put Aminu on him, instead of Meyers. They had Dante Cunningham out there. He's no threat to hit a 3. We were wasting Aminu's defensive ability.

Aldridge passed all his game knowledge to McCollum, who looked great in the 1st half, then disapeared in the 2nd. Leonard, who is supposed to replace Aldridge's PF shooting, continues to be completely unreliable even in his limited gimmick role. Lillard exists on the fumes of his rookie year shooting. Without that now-false reputation, defenders would ignore him and play 5-on-4.

It's the new guys who will save us.
CJ didn't disappear in the 2nd half, he was key to closing out the game. And this is one of Leonard's few bad shooting games.

Ed Davis is awesome. He's so mobile on defense for a big too. I never worry when he's switched out on a guard.

I agree that we were wasting Aminu's defense though. Aminu is honestly a revelation on defense. His defense is like Batum's mystical defense that we all believe he played but didn't really.

In that case, chill out.

The reason I bought it up is because I hope to not see a trend of over playing our guys when they could use all the rest they could get.

I guess I needed to write a paragraph to help... damn.

A whopping minute of running clock isn't going to hurt anyone.

Plumlee actually had a decent statline. 7/6/6 (assists!) in 18 minutes. I think Plums brings a bit more versatility to the floor than Davis, but what Davis does well (Rebound, defense, rolling) he's good to a T.

Don't worry, I don't think they wasted that much energy in that minute. Dame only played 36 minutes tonight.

dude what happened to Dames shot? They started playing him for the drive and he just went ice cold

I think Davis is a much better defender. And it's not like Plumlee is any more skilled than Davis at offense. Though he has a good handle for a guy his size.

Re-watching the game; Dame is a true toastmaster. He had some things to say and I think he really meant them.

His handle, his slick passing. He's faster in the open floor too. He's got some skills no doubt.

But yes, in a vacuum I like Davis better.

The perception I got from watching this game is we attacked the basket more. Not sure if the stats back that up, but it sure seemed different to me. I was impressed with Aminu, Plumlee and Davis. Oh yeah........ and CJ too. But I always like watching CJ. He can score from anywhere. Having him and Dame on the floor together with some of these passing bigs, is much more fun to watch than last year

you get pick and pop with meyers you get pick and roll with davis. who really cares who starts? playing like a team is what is going to get us into the playoffs. it's got us undefeated so far

At this rate we'll be able to package 3 or 4 of these guys for Lebbron by Christmas.
