Thank God they see Barton as a 3rd player...not a 2nd. That'd be scary.

Still don't understand him at PG.
 
Will just throws the ball out of bounds because why not? Then Kendall Marshall outquicks CJ and gets a continuation that he shouldn't. Then misses the FT and PHX gets the board. Not a great sequence.

Robinson is easily the strongest looking guy on our team. Coming from Rastapopoulos, that comment is even more ridiculous.
 
Gotta say Will Barton is really showing people "something" out there ... I gotta think for a bit about what I mean by "something."
 
Look: Will needs to work on his handle. This is Summer League, so it doesn't matter. Why NOT have him play point? Makes sense to me. That's what Orlando did with Oladipo.
 
Reminding myself to be patient with Leonard. Freeland still not showing me anything to be excited about.

Love how comfortable CJ looks out there. His dribble could use improvement, but think our second unit just got a huge shot in the arm.

Because the guy isn't a point guard... he has HORRIBLE decision making. He is a wing and he is at his best playing the passing lanes and running the wings. He's not a guy I would want bringing the ball up the court.

CJ's 1st summer league game reminds me a little of Dame's. 1st quarter seemed more like a feeling out process, then, attack.
 
Loving what I'm seeing from CJ and TRob, Meyers looks good but still alittle bit goofy, Crabbe looks a little lost but still under control.

Barton... is he trying to be let out of his contract so he can go play overseas?

Same reason you don't throw out a 5 guard lineup. Or play McCollum at PF.

Just no point. You know it won't work.

And you can't seriously think Barton has half the BBIQ, ball handling, or passing ability of Oladipo.

Crabbe just looks like he isn't confident yet. I think he'll get there.
 
I am kinda curious what Meyers worked on this off-season. He doesn't look like he has changed much...
 
I definitely think Dame has better point guard skills than CJ though.
 
I thought Meyers looked pretty bad out there. Then I check boxscores and he has 7/6....hmm
