This will be a teachable loss for the big guy...they'll have some film to work with now...maybe cool off the media blitz from his first game..the kid probably didn't get any sleep after that first game

SL games just don't feature enough good talent. And way too many players are trying to chuck their way into a contract
The NBA talent pool is more shallow than other sports at this level, due to how hard the game is to play at an NBA level.

I agree that there's obviously a lot of room for improvement but I think the staff wants him taking those open threes that he missed both of. If you take those away he was 4 for 6 from the field and 2 for 2 from the line. I agree with a lot of people that say that his rebounding numbers are a little deceptive because there were a few plays where he boxed out two Grizzlies players to let a teammate get the board. He altered a lot of shots that he didn't block.

I love the fact that the announcers are so into talking about him. I wonder how Yang will do against a guy like Missi who started most of last season in the NBA. Also I wonder if they'll be talking about Yang as much in a game against Fears and Queen.

I was thinking about that too..... it's insane how good the top.... what.... 300 players are? How is there such a huge gap in skill between the guys on an NBA roster and the rest of the known world?

We are already out

"Brian Scalabrine is better than 99.99999% of humans at the game of basketball... and he's the worst NBA player"

He needs to be more aggressive on the boards. He needs to screen and then get to the basket. He needs to stop jumping early on defense in the paint. He has a lot to work on but he has the ability.

He struggled against a nobody center tonight. Missi will eat him up if he isn't careful.

They talked about the Grizzlies most of the game tonight, I don't expect much difference next game.

Honestly I'd shut down Yang at this point. There's no reason to play him with these shitters. I have seen enough. Play the scrubs and leave this abomination.

I'm gonna harp on this a bit because I forgot this nugget from wikipedia: As a member of the USC Trojans men's basketball team, Scalabrine was the top scorer and a leader in field goals and rebounds.

Like, Brian was good in college, but in the NBA the skill level is so high that he was fucking White Mamba.

In Tennis the top players that get invited in the main tournaments like Wimbledon are oceans apart from even the best collegiate player

It's insane that Bouknight was the 11th pick in 2021. Charlotte and drafting busts...

A couple of summer league games in July isn't gonna do that. Not worth the risk of injury.
I don't ever get this sentiment. Let the dude hoop. He isn't dominating at this level or anything so if he's feeling good get him reps.

I know we look at SL as a lesser product to the real NBA because it is but his team got blown out buy the Hornets SL squad last summer so this definitely is a step up in competition for him. If he does play and get injured you'll probably be mad about it but again I say let the young dude hoop.

I don't ever get mad at our coaching staff about injuries when young guys are getting needed reps. If we overplay guys, sure then there's a reason to get mad when they get injured but Yang has only put in 48 minutes over two games and our next game is Tuesday. He'll get plenty of rest and practice between now and then.
