Lol then why’d he get Td up? Maybe he didn’t say anything but he was definitely staring down whoever was on the floor.

Why the fuck does it matter? For once, Meyers saw he had a smaller man on him, went at the guy hard, dunked on him and got called for an offensive foul. Would you rather he pussed out and passed the ball back out? So he got a technical when were were winning by 35 points, big fucking deal. Of all the stupid, petty things to bitch about.

You seem to have not noticed he also had 15 points and 12 rebounds in 21 minutes of playing time. And before you make any false claims to the contrary, they didn't all come in garbage time. When Meyers entered the game with 3:44 left in the first quarter, the Blazers were losing 21-19. In the next 8 minutes he scored 8 points and had 5 rebounds. When he left the game, the Blazers were up by 9 - an 11 point swing. He doesn't get credit for all that, but his play clearly didn't hurt the team.

It's easy to bash Meyers when he doesn't play well, but apparently, it's very difficult, perhaps impossible, to give him any credit at all when he plays well.

I didn't say you should or did.

All I'm doing is explaining why I feel sorry for their fans.

And I'm explaining why I don't. I didn't feel sorry for Laker fans when their team sucked, either. Its not like MIN has suffered a rash of career ending injuries. They have imploded from within. They all share in that blame. It was their own doing, not bad luck. If Towns and Wiggins had suffered career ending injuries, I'd feel sorry for their fans. I never wish injures on anyone or any team.

Its obvious by the timing of things KAT thought Butler was going to be traded when he signed his contract. At least he’s showing up to the games, Jimmy’s cant play because general soreness, aka doesnt feel like it today. Yeah he’s a tough guy.
That whole situation is so bad, Taylor, Thibs, Butler, Wiggins, KAT all look awful.
Its funny how Butlers point is that KAT and Wiggins arent trying hard enough, and dont want to win enough, while Butlers generally too sore to even make it to the games...

They all look bad because none of them have handled it well or acted professionally. Yep, Jimmy is being an ass, but KAT and Wiggins are the two former No. 1 draft picks that both signed max. extensions and can't be bothered to play on both ends of the floor. They are both great athletes that SHOULD be able to play solid defense. They just don't try. That's not Jimmy's fault that's on them. Don't like what he says, prove him wrong and earn those enormous paychecks.

Lol.

All I said was that I felt sorry for their fans. Nowhere in my OP does it say everyone should feel sorry for them with me.

But I will say that I think this Wolves situation is just a bit more unique/complicated than the ones you're comparing it to.

Their fans can feel bad right on out the door and not buy any more tickets. Butler can live with his reputation of being a crybaby that no one respects anymore for the rest of his career. Please do not bring him to Portland.

It was nice to see the Collins/Nurk lineup for a few minutes. They were a bullshit foul call on Collins and a stupid pass from Turner away from being a 10-2 run while in the game instead of 10-5.

Yeah it is an interesting line up for sure especially with ET in there as well. 3 ball handlers, 2 shooters, and 2 bigs.

They lose because Justin Patton misses season after season. 16th pick in the draft, 1 game in 2 seasons. Missing starter Teague and Rose tonight had nothing to do with it.

Still thought the Zach/Nurk lineup looked awkward.

The numbers say it was effective, but the eye test and level of comp still leave me wondering if we'll see it used much.

Mind expanding on what you are talking about? I think they scored every possession on offense until the stupid pass by ET and the defense was suffocating.

How in the fuck was it awkward?

He played fine. Did I say he didn’t? He was also an idiot for taunting a guy in mop up minutes. It would be respect worthy if he had that same energy when faced with adversity.

Sorry, not everyone is easily impressed.

I missed alot of this game, but i wouldnt be surprised if they’ll need time on the floor together to look really good together.

He went for a dunk and fouled a guy. He didn't like the call. The ref didn't like that Meyers didn't like the call. Tfoul. Oh well. I'm glad to see that confidence in him. Ill take it over him looking like he doesnt know which way is up.

I'm pretty sure they are common for every other team except for us. I can't remember the last time we had one. Maybe it was during the lockout shortened year where there were a lot of games in a short amount of time?
I remember last year we played the Bucks in one of our first games and they had played at home the night before. I was like what the fuck is this shit? How come we never get to do that?

Did he not play well, with that same "energy" in the first half, when the game was still tight and undecided?

There's a big difference between being impressed and hating on a guy just to hate on him. He didn't really taunt anyone. He took the ball and walked toward the other end of the court. Even Calabro mentioned that Nunally was laughing about the play at the time. Nobody disrespected anyone. You're just inventing a reason to hate on your favorite target even when he played well.

Leonard got good stats (rebounds and free throws) in 22 minutes of a blowout against a team missing 2 or 3 starters. Hooray. In a normal game, he fouls out in 22 minutes.
