Minny is boo-boo anyways. They aren’t making the playoffs. Why not try to change it up and not make the playoffs with CJ and Nurk?

couldn't watch the 1st half. I did see some people praising the Blazer defense, but Portland gave up 52% on FG's and 53% on three's. And from what I saw in the 2nd half, the defensive rotations were poor. Was the defense better than the numbers? Did the Clips make a bunch of tough shots in the 1st half?

39 minutes for RoCo and 9 for Nance....wut? 1 FT for Dame....ouch

Don't you think whoever replaces him is looking at this team right now and saying, "That team needs big changes."? Whoever replaces Olshey... and I hope it's soon, will at the very least trade CJ by the deadline. It's been so obvious for so long that CJ and Dame's games aren't complementary to each other that whoever gets in here will correct that longstanding mistake.

There seems to be little energy from anyone other than Powell, Ant, Nas, Zeller and Nance.
The defense from Dame/CJ is just not very good on most possessions, and CJ just continues to refuse to pass to wide open teammates.

Tonight it was Nas after creating a turnover, busting his ass on the break and then waving, calling, practically setting himself on as he was WIDE OPEN for a dunk only to have MeJ compelling ignore him.

Despite whatever numbers MeJ puts up on any given night, his style of play will just not do it here in Portland.

Honestly… how can you be happy if you get a McClemore, Zeller, Nance and Snell in the off season. That’s not improving your team. That’s not even a contender.

Seems like it's not even a contender for a playoff spot.

I'm not as down as some others here on the Blazers. There are some good things here and Chauncey has done a good job in areas where needed. But we desperately need to move CJ for this team to have a chance. Either Siakam or Simmons would shift this team to where it needs to go. We need to look like this for our starting lineup. Give Chauncey a real chance.

So what is wrong?

Strength of schedule? Right now the league is full of teams struggling with injuries or whatever and playing aroung .500. Somehow, I'm not buying that we are worse off than many other teams.

New schemes to learn? Maybe. I hope this is it because that is fixable!

Olshey doesn't understand roster building? Hard to dispute this. Even if Olshey finally gets his walking papers it seems unlikely an interim GM will come in and make a trade that salvages the season.

After a hot start, CJ is coming back down to Earth. His 3PT % is sub .400 now at .398. And his FG % is at .429, which would be the lowest since his rookie year.

They need to trade him before he plays all his value away.

I saw that missed fast break opportunity as well and yelled at the TV.

With the emergence of OG Anounoby and Scottie Barnes, I’m sure they’d be more likely to part ways with Siakam. Would be a great fit if we could get the same production he gave Toronto.

Would immediately upgrade our defense just by rolling Norm over to the 2 spot.

The only bad defender in our starting unit would be Lillard.

They were hitting some tough threes in the first, for sure. PG13 is a crazy shooter, when he rolling he's in the Durant mode.

This is really no surprise that their game plan is to attack our weakest defenders. Last year, it woulda been Kanter/Melo. I'm just surprised Roco is not on there considering how easily guys drive around him.
