Hypothetically speaking, would you want Allen Crabbe back (considering his contract)?

This team has platued in mediocrity. Dame and CJ are already in their prime. The only glimmer of hope is Nurk and Collins, but we don't really know yet what we have in Nurk, and really less so Collins.

I don't feel like sitting on my ass for 2.5 hours anymore to watch these &#&&^$ play. Yippie, maybe we can beat the Nets. Who cares?
Maybe you should take some time away from the game and the forum, and then come back when you miss it and learn to enjoy just watching them play and stop getting so upset about results. Love the process, not the results, or you'll be unhappy every season.

Thus its something I've learned (and am still working on) over the past year (after I literally punched my wall over a game).

These haters never fucking stop.

Here's where it differs: Haters have a finite amount of resources to draw from - and their theories, when it comes to superstars - are often thwarted and falsified.

"realists" have patience, realism, and a much larger pool of games to choose from, thereby generating a much larger sample to draw from, to then falsify the myopic ramblings of a hater.

So be happy in the knowledge that the haters always end up wrong, and bask in the glow of their silly thoughts that the smaller sample size means more than it does.

Is that a hater or just bad english expression? Wonder if he means it kind of like sarcasm?
Maybe he's talking about shots.. Like Lillard will take between 6 and 20 shots.

Might be the best post in this forums history. Definitely the right way to look at it. I just can't help but get annoyed by ignorance.

Wow... I'm trying to wrap my head around that. Seems like i could actually make a poster or something that says that and put it on my wall?

Blazers are looking an awful lot like a 7-8 seed right about now. 6 would be really good.

7 or 8 seed is the definition of basketball purgatory and #6 isn't much better. I really hope they figure this out soon because another bottom half seed in the Playoffs just a few games out of the Lottery is beyond underwhelming.

I hope we when by double figures, but AC goes off for 35 on us!!!

Nah. I really like Pat. I want Pat to have a good game against AC as i think they will both come off the bench. I like AC but to hear all the Pat bashing if AC torches him it will get old quick.

Those are the Myopic ramblings of a hater! small sample size! boom!

Yeah it's a little bit of sarcasm. I don't know, maybe he shots 11/18 and 5/8 from 3 or 5/18 and 1/7 from 3. Dame is inconstant this Season unfortenatly. Or maybe Nurk will explode this game and Score 30. Or maybe he Fouls 3 time in a Quarter and 2 turnover in a Minute. Everything can happen

Wait--you mean that we can't say with any certainty what will happen in any game, and we should just watch them without any preset expectations and simply enjoy the displays of skill and athleticism put forth by players on both teams??

Brilliant!!!

What's the fun in that?

That's deep. Thanks for the insight.

He had 4 straight games of 30+.

Players are going to have good and bad games. It's gonna happen.

I know, but Dame has to many bad games this year. He is shooting 40% FG and 33 3pt%. I think that's bad

.410 from the field and .316 from '3' so far this year. But to dare point out that those stats might be the least bit inefficient and that some of the shots he takes are very poor shot selection is akin to being a 'hater' to some. I do like that Dame's Assists, Rebounds and FT% are up this year. But until he gets his career low FG% up, perhaps even more assists to teammates who are making shots wouldn't be a bad idea....especially when he is one of his 4-16 nights.

I know there was a lot of discussion the other night whether McCollum should have taken the last shot. This article takes a look at clutch stats and last minute shot stats for Lillard and McCollum, and I would have to say Lillard does not come off that well. Although he is a lot more likely to have an assist in the last five minutes, he is also turnover heavy in that time period. And as for CJ; "When we limit the search to true game winning situations (I’m defining that as shots to go-ahead or tie in the final minute of regulation or overtime), then McCollum blows Lillard away. CJ shot 7-for-11 in these scenarios last season while Lillard was 3-for-13 (including 0-for-8 from three!)."

Warriors were 6 seed year before they won title and didn't make major roster changes between. Basketball purgatory is actually when you're bad every year and draft picks don't help. Sacramento is in purgatory, not us.

Blazers vs Nets

Game day is here finally. I always hate having 3 days between games when they lose a close one that they coulda shoulda woulda won. The good thing is this should be a game that will right all wrongs. This is a game the Blazers can and should win. It will most likely be a high scoring affair 120 -110 area as the Nets are a high output type team. They like to get the ball up the court and take shots. They are not really a good defensive team so the Blazers should be scoring well also.

The Blazers are playing good defense. It's becoming clear that this is the way they will play this year. They are sustaining good defensive play and this will translate into wins as the season progresses. Good defense is what it takes to win on the road and in the playoffs. A top 4 defensive team at this point has got to be making Stotts feel pretty good about how the team is performing. The close games will even out. you win some and you lose some but at this point there really has only been one game this team was not in at the end. I too feel good about that.

Crazy weird stats are showing up in the Blazers game. They are the best rebounding team in the league but can't seem to find a way to get a fast break bucket. Seems weird because getting rebounds off of missed shots are just what fast breaks are all about. Tells me outlet passing by the bigs needs to be better and the wings need to move quicker in transition. This is not just on Lillard. Takes two and three players working a break well to be a good fast break team. Could be that more time is needed playing as a unit for this to evolve. Napier right now seems to be the best fast break type player the Blazers have.

The Return of Allen Crabbe is good and all but reading some posts by people wanting him to drop 35 and even 50 on the Blazers just seems to be odd? @HCP ??? Get your act together man.... There is a look though into the Cool Breeze. When he plays well the Nets do well. When he disappears they seem to fail miserably. Sound familiar? Right now AC has 3 pretty good games this year were he shot well and scored in double digits. 6 games where he pretty much was invisible. Their record you ask? 4-7. Blazers need to put the locks on Allen Crabbe tonight. They also need to make sure D'Angelo Russel stays around his average. Russel has the ability to light it up. Blazers are just the kind of team he could do that against. Play defense on this guy. No need to get in a shooting match with him though i would put my money on Dame 9 out of 10 times in that battle.

Not exactly sure on the starters for the Nets. Against Denver AC started as a SF. In that game LeVert came off the bench as did Zeller. They both produced well. Tyler Zeller is giving them 9 pts and 3 rebs a game off the bench but against Denver he gave them 21 and 5. So who can say? They seem to be mixing up who is on the court quite a bit still. Might not really be set on rotations just yet.

My pick tonight is Vonleh. This is just the team he can play well against. Looking for a huge game from the PF position.

Go Blazers!
Kjironman is a Fan!!!
