The fact that Harkless/Aminu are close to DJJ/Roco is terrible. We're supposed to be upgrading the supporting cast over the years.

In my mind if you want to upgrade a position you don’t lose the player you have at that position without simultaneously getting a better player at that position. Aminu and Hark were gone last year and we had nothing even remotely as good as them in their places.

Yes, our forwards were worse than Aminu/Harkless last year. I hope that's not the new standard for what is good enough.

i predicted this about Roco in earlier game threads. This is what happens when you freeze guys out for the first ten games and expect them suddenly contribute without a rhythm.

we were down 5 when he put in Melo. I made a mental note of it because I’d be surprised if we were only down 5 when this quarter ended.
 
I think it's pretty obvious why they went with Simons instead of Gary. Because even though Simons is still struggling with being a PG, he's still a much better PG than Gary is, and unlike Gary, will actually look for others on offense.
Gary just shoots, and isn't known for being a steady dribble.

He's never had plays ran for him, certainly didn't in Houston. This is on him, nobody else.
