Hood plays 13 mpg. He will get better. They’ve got much bigger issues than a guy who plays 13 min a game who isn’t good right now

Our bigger issue is our overall defense. You can take a step in the right direction by not playing Ant or Hood who are terrible on both sides of the floor. You can take another step by playing Giles and Little more and Melo less, another poor defender and poor rebounder. They at least might be good defensively.

We held them to 40 points in the 2nd half. Kanter Jones Covington combine 34 rebounds nice jobs. The bench score 35 points. 2nd half defense won the game and offense play better has a team. More balanced on opportunity to score and even some players had bad shooting night but the opportunity was there.

Yaaaaayyyy! Let's pigeonhole our young stud Gary Trent before he's even had a chance. He'll go off and have an expanded role on another team. If CJ is out for a few games, we'll wanna see what Trent can do.

So you want us to let GTJ to expand his role by dribbling, but you don't want DJJ shooting more 3's to expand his role?

I don’t think our defense was actually good. Atlanta missed a bunch of open shots. I predict we’re going to get blown out by any good team.

DJJ has never been a good 3-pt shooter.....so there is that.

Giles played pretty good tonight....I think we'll survive the season

Enes showed why he better then nurkic. 12 pts 15 rbs 5 blocks 2 steals 2 assists. Beast . Dame playing way too much and his heroics again. Get this man a back up PG

I agree... GTJ has never looked like a good ball-handler/playmaker for others either.

yeah but that’s not his fault. He’s not a ballhandler, so why put him in those situations? You don’t see JJ Redick initiating an offense.

False equivalency. Trent is more valuable by way of bird rights and skillet and when did I say I didn't want Jones to shoot more 3s? Please show me.

I want him to play to his strengths rather than play to Stotts' lack of creativity. Him shooting more threes is fine. Him parked in the corner on the majority of our offensive sets is not.

Do you understand the difference now?

I know Atlanta isn't very good, but this was a GREAT win. Coming back from 16 down then playing the 2nd half without CJ? Huge contributions from a whole collection of players.

Plenty to be upset about, but I'm looking on the bright side. It was an enjoyable game, especially in the 2nd half. Let's hope CJ is okay.

Aminu made 35% of his 3’s as a Blazer. He had had a 57% TS% his last year. That’s better than CJ’s career and better than Melo’s this year, a year where Melo is hitting 43% of his 3’s. If Aminu was wide open all the time (he wasn’t) they needed to passé him the ball and have him shoot more.
No. They tried passing him the ball more. It didn't work. Take your stats and go watch a game.

GTJ's strengths are shooting 3's and playing defenese, not ball handling and playmaking. I thought you were advocating that GTJ's role in the offense be expanded to become a bigger playmaker. No?
