Okay I have a question. DJJ had a steal in the second half and as he started down court between two hawks he was fouled. GTJ was down court from him. I thought if a offensive player was ahead of the defensive team and a foul was called it was a clear path. Is it only the ball handler ? Cause he could of passed to Gary and he would have had a breakaway?
I’m not sure Hoods inefficiency isn’t just him not getting enough looks. Kinda hard to get in rhythm on three shots per game. I’d like to see more of an effort to get him the ball. The second unit doesn’t need to go iso Melo every possession.
For the first three quarters of a game Aminu could go 2-3 or 3-4. But every damn time in the fourth he would brick. If you didn't see that i don't know what to tell ya.Yeah, I watched the games. When they passed Aminu the ball and he was open, he shot the 3's, and lo and behold the ball went in over 35% of the time, just a few ticks below Dame's 37%. When they closed out he often took the ball to the rim and shot a high %, got fouled a lot, and made his free throws. He also played D and rebounded really well and hustled 100%. Yes it did work we were 53-29.
covington is a career 36% three point shooter, and that percentage is even higher since 2017. Yes, he should continue shooting them.
We’re only the 26th worst defense. But the 4 teams below us have a cumulative 15-32 record. From Hawks Twitter:
How the fuck do you shoot 6/30 from the 3 point line against the worst defensive team in the league y’all piss me off every night
Facts: we are the worst defensive team lol
Are they? Ha Ha? I thought they moved up a couple spots? From Hawks Twitter:

He definitely needs to keep playing. He won’t get back to his previous form sitting on the bench.I’m not sure Hoods inefficiency isn’t just him not getting enough looks. Then there were the atrocious 1-7 or 1-8 shooting nights 3 nights in a row in a row coupled with the 5-6 night to keep his numbers up there at 35%.
Now lets not get me started about the trainwreck every time he put the ball on the floor. Would you like to talk about turnover to assist rate? As long as you want to make your argument all about a stat then we might as well use all of them.
Aminu was a great guy and a good defender but he was an absolute liability on the offensive end. You seem to be the only one who doesn't feel this way?
Respect your opinion. I'd like to see 4-5 of his attempts to go to Dame, CJ, Trent, or Kanter on nights where he starts out 1-8. Thought Stotts putting him on the bench was the right move after going 1-13.
Thanks but honestly it was crazy. I watched it night after night. Here are the numbers to back up what you're saying about his 4th quarter shooting...

I agree with this. He also brings size and energy on defense. He needs to be a part of this team for them to have a decent season.Yeah I’m not saying he should continue shooting if he’s 1 for 12 or whatever, but generally speaking, an open Covington shot is still a good shot and what he’s going through right now is most likely just a slump that he can only get out of by continuing to shoot. It happens to every player at some point.

Like Crabbe, right?Yaaaaayyyy! Let's pigeonhole our young stud Gary Trent before he's even had a chance. He'll go off and have an expanded role on another team. If CJ is out for a few games, we'll wanna see what Trent can do.

- impossible not to love Enes Kanter.
- they played very very hard.
- start Trent, Jones off bench
- Carmelo is a stud I don’t care what anyone says
It's really awesome. We have THREE players scoring double figures off the bench. Well 2 now since Kanter has to start. Still, it's pretty awesome. When is the last time we had three guys off the bench scoring double figures? Has it ever happened? Maybe 1999?
Really enjoyed the increased tenacity, at least attempting to play defense, and 6 players in double figures. Much more fun to watch than Iso-ville.
It just seems too coincidental that as soon as CJ went out, the defense, and the effort, went up markedly.

With Nurk out, it was Giles chance to shine.
He only got 11 minutes, which was less minutes than Hood got, who somehow decreased his season fg% of 20%.
