The issue is that the ball movement stopped.

I don't remember when exactly it happened.... maybe I'm making this up.... but it seemed like the Lakers stole or came very close to stealing a pass on like 4 of 8 possessions in the second quarter. The Blazers were telegraphing the passes, and the Lakers were jumping the pass. Shortly after that, the good ball movement stopped.

My point was compared to the Lakers the ball movement was pretty equal as they iso a ton too. I agree that the movement should've continued the whole game.

I bet LeBron and Lonzo won't ever combine to make 8 straight 3 pointers ever again in their careers.

I agree. Most of those stolen passes were egregiously bad. I hope Stotts had a long discussion today about the importance of not being sloppy with the ball. Between the stupid unforced turnovers and James's and Ball's hot shooting from deep, the Blazers didn't have much chance. I also thought that the team just looked whipped about halfway through the third and never really played to win from that point on.

I was actually looking for a comeback. But when both Lillard and CJ miss shots right at the rim with 2 mins left in the game it was pretty much sealed.

Lebron had Wilt's number in his head and he was going after it. I almost want to say the League wanted him to reach in on National TV but that would be saying it was fixed. You have to admit the guy made some huge plays and he was not missing from long range. Once it was close he was all about getting it.

I think overall the Blazers are a better team and unless you get a huge game from Lebron just like last game the Lakers won here, then this game goes in the win column. James has scored 98 points so far against the Blazers this year. Approaching 33 points per game. He could pick and choose his big games in the East but here in the West he is going to wear down.

I like that the Blazers played all game and they still had 4 starters in double figures but they lacked the guy on the bench in double figures. It was said on here already but Layman needs more shots.

In the end this game was the LeBron show. Learn from it and move on. Don't let him beat you next game also.

Minnesota, Washington, New York and Milwaukie coming up before a big game to end this long road trip 10 days from now vs the Warriors. Of course Curry will just be coming back well rested like always.

If i remember right Zach has a birthday around New York?

The game against the Warriors was 9 days away as of yesterday. They said yesterday at least 10 more days. So if that holds true, he'd miss our game.

If the Blazers win 3 of the next 4 which i think they can. That would have them at 13 and 5 if i am correct? My bet is Curry will play that game. Even more so if the Warriors lose a couple against either the Rockets, San Antonio or OKC. They have two nationally televised games against Houston and OKC before they play the Blazers. If this week goes poorly for them he will play against the Blazers. Just the way i see it.

Like I said, I've got no problem being called on my shit when it's during a regular thread. But if it's make a statement I make during the game and you say, "it's sad, sad, sad....." You are reading WAY TO MUCH into that statement. I may direct anger as a car commercisl next when we are losinc like we did last night.

It's kind of why i don't comment much on threads during games. If you were to listen to me yelling at my TV you might think i was gonna pull out weaponry and blow the place up?

Bingo. But I just lack restraint I guess. Now I made a statement AFTER the game about Layman's defense without checking his +/-. Turns out I was wrong. I got no problem being called out for that. But I didn't make that when I was yelling at the T.V. screen. That's why I put a time limit on what I say in the game threads. Fuck. A million emotions go through our heads during a loss like last night.

There is a big difference between saying stuff that is obviously in the heat of the moment pertaining to a specific game and making comments like you have that imply long term issues that warrant further discussion. I don't give a fuck if they are in a game thread or not. I had to watch the game on delay and follow the game thread like I would be when watching live so technically I did call you out at the time I was watching it.

I think Nurk's conract is going to end up an over pay.

Layman didn't do poorly but he got abused by Lebron a couple times but who doesn't? His Plus Minus was the best of the starters but i really hate that stat.

The team played hard all game. I'm good with that. They even tried to make a run but missed a few open easy shots. That was when i was really going for the big guns! MFers better make that shit or i'm gonna freakin explode! Type thing.... First it was Aminu missing a wide open three then CJ at the rim on a lay in and then Dame trying his best to not let CJ one up him so he missed one at the rim also. That 7 points cuts the lead to 3 and they are in a barn burner. But it wasn't meant to be. After the game i waited long enough that my dogs come out from hiding and i checked out the thread. Best way all around....

Stotts' hackneyed strategy was to have Lillard just be a playmaker until the last 2-3 minutes of the half. Then Lillard suddenly took all the shots. He missed them all. We blew our lead because of it.

I posted that I turned off the game and it pissed off some sleepless petty dictator named Bones Jones, who called me stupid for doing so. Tough shit. I was disgusted for how the game was going, whether Der Fuehrer likes it or not. I'm not going to start asking him for permission to turn off games.

Scoring wasn't the problem. Giving up 123 points was. Get better. Didn't call you stupid. Called your claim stupid. Don't twist things.
