In the game of basketball, we made two more baskets than they did and lost by 8 points.

It's too bad we have to be at least 20 points better than any given team if the refs decide to be assholes.

There were soooooooooo many other things they did wrong tonight, like the defense (nonexistent) or the poor ball movement in the 4th.

This was a winnable game on so many levels, even with the poor reffing.

I'm hoping Ezeli fixes some things, because right now the biggest problem with the team is the same problem from last year: defense.

Damian Lillard has tallied 68 points (24-44 FG) and 19 rebounds in the season's first two games.

Things that cost us the game, in order of importance:

1. Terrible bench play. Turner sucked the life out of every lineup he played with.

2. 4-18 shooting from deep. Including zero (!) made threes the entire 2nd half.

3. Some momentum changing calls and a lack of letting players play, including what may very well be the weakest flagrant ever assessed against a Blazer.

What was wrong with dame at the end? I went to piss and come back and see him all fired up

Its early in the season but even with all the fucking by the refs we really lost our composure for about a 4m stretch in the fourth. Thats something we need to work on, as well as that god awful bench lineup.

eazy Ed had a terrible game too

At least we've got a game of "Who he play for" to help heal our wounds from this L.

My biggest concern this year other than defense is shooting. Other than Dame, CJ and Crabbe we have a lot of inconsistent at best shooters. Really think Shabazz should get a chance to prove himself perhaps even over Turner.

Ref called a foul with 1.3s left when the Clippers were dribbling the ball out and the Blazers were letting them.

The team needs to figure out how to play with Turner, and Turner needs to figure out how to play with the team.

I kind of expected this, did not think the transition would be entirely smooth because Turner is a non-threat without the ball in his hands. It will probably work itself out sometime during the season, but I still don't think it was a great signing. He's basically Henderson with a bit better distribution ability. Is that worth twice as much as Hendo?

Of course we did stuff wrong. It's basketball. It's game 2 of the season. The Clippers weren't exactly perfect either. The way both teams played, I thought we played the game of basketball better than they did. Then the refs got involved and were totally one sided. You literally can't convince me that the refs weren't a big factor tonight.

On the plus side we made it look close towards the end of 4th quarter and we won't have too many final quarters as terrible as this one here. Loss is a loss but we're going to have at least 30 more of these so it's nothing particularly worrying. Also, Harkless did have a good game.

I haven't felt this miserable since Game 4 of round 2 last year.

Yep, like someone said: same problems we had last year. Will it ever change?

I'm gonna fuck someone up in my fan-fiction tonight. I'm gonna make Glenn's squashed head look like a scraped knee.

Bench scoring was non existent for us. Crazy how inept we were when Lillard was off the floor, but we still were in it til we lost all focus offensively.

Ref crying is awesome. Can't be lack of size up front, or an off free throw night, or giving up 114 points, or a shitty 3 pt shooting night. HAS to be the refs

Yea, we shot 68% in game 1, and sucked tonight. You could also say we lost the game on 3pt shooting. That is terrible shooting for this team.

The Blazer starters outplayed the Clipper starters. And yes, our bench totally sucked, but we still would have won if it were a fair game

CJ got roasted on both ends when he was playing the point guard position with Turner. Dribbled the air out of the ball on offense and missed almost all of his defensive coverage on defense. He looked like a rookie.
