I would like to hear his thoughts as well. I also ref and thought she lost control of the game, let River's constant hounding affect her and made calls that weren't even just bad but downright horrible. The last two she made were especially egregious. Paul ran right into Napier....completely changing direction and totally initiating contact. The next one had Stotts laughing so hard in disgust it's like he was trying to get a 'T' to make a point.

For some reason Rivers is allowed to rant, scream, yell and show the refs up all night and none of them have the ball to do anything about it. It's like Green is allowed to keep kicking people and no call or fine is made.

Last night was so predictable in terms of outcome that I turned down free 5th row seats. Watching the Clippers is annoying, watching Rivers is irritating and there was no way after the playoff last year that a healthy Clipper team was losing this game. I just didn't know ref Lauren was going to make it even worse.

The refs been letting the Clippers get away this shit for years. Until someone with balls in the NBA office start calling these refs out they will continue to be bad. I thinks they thought Stern was still the Commish maybe the new Commish need to put his foot down.

omg why haven't I seen this before.
best flop ever

that's a flagrant

Clippers shot 46 ft's. :smiley-bigsadeyes: They made as many as we took, and some of our ft's came near the end when the refs attempted to make it look a little more respectable in the box score. We actually made 2 more baskets than they did.

If that doesn't show ref bias, I don't know what does

Last night I was cutting the coaches sound for TNT. While watching the action, I had to listen to Doc on headsets.......THE WHOLE GAME! My ears are still bleeding!

Wow talk about Torture!

With our luck Dame is going to get suspended for leaving the bench.

Honestly sorry for you man. Wouldn't wish that on anyone!

One thing I have noticed is Dame. Even when he isn't on the court and a timeout is called, as soon as he is done giving high fives to the players coming off the court, he doesn't huddle with them. He B-lines right to the refs to discuss things. It may not have helped last night ( not sure) but it will help in time. Just another example of his leadership qualities. He knows he needs to be in their ear as much as the opponent. Stotts should take a page from this.

If ref is being a bully and he calls ref out, that is anti bullying. PC police go home.
Doesn't matter that it would have been justified, the media would still vilify him because thats what the media does, overreact.

He didn't go out on the playing court he stay in the bench area so there shouldn't be nothing happen.

He left the bench though, I thought that was automatic...or maybe that's only in the case of a fight

I think it is only when the play is called dead but not a timeout. Dame left the bench on almost every timeout. Curious as to the clarification on this though. Where and when is the line drawn, or is it vague?
@dviss1 ?
@TBpup ?

Moot point in terms of Dame and this situation, since he never said it. Some people on twitter are just stupid.

A little ironic that this is the same ref that got blasted by CP3 last year.

Or convenient... very convenient. This ref t'd up like 3 Clippers players in one game last year or something.

Dude, get off it. You can't tell me the officiating had nothing to do with it.
Officiating is human. It has had something to do with every game in every sport in history. What it's not, is the reason we lost.

You sound like my son after a bad grade, blaming his teacher. You know what I tell him? Do better. That's what Portland needed to do last night, better

We're 1-1 not the end of the world. If anything this will hopefully spark a fire in the team. Could be a blessing in disguise for the season.

This is a terrible example and shouldn't even be seen as the same thing. Your son's teacher doesn't white out his correct answers to write in the incorrect answers or mark on his homework that because the teacher had a different interpretation of the answers then your son did he got a bad grade.

Yes I know that it is wordy, but I think you get what I am trying to say, or at least someone will.

I believe if it a fight but as long you don't go out on the floor I believe it not leaving the bench.

Jeez I loved Reggie Miller as a player but I think I am fully away of the fact now that......

1. This is the Clippers last year to win the title.

2, Blake's healthy. They have an amazing bench. This is their last chance to win a title.

3. CP3, Blake and Doc. Their window is closing. There is their last chance to win the title.

Good thing we don't play the Clips every week because between the lousy officiating, Jordan's BS and the one-sided commentating.....
I'll end up pouring beer on my TV like Kurt Russell does the chess computer in "The Thing."

Settle down man. It was one game where out young team kinda lost their composure . . . snip . . going to be a learning experience, and placing blame on terry is rediculous.

Fully calm. Not a knee jerk reaction to losing one game ; I haven't been a fan of Stotts' Modus Operandi for some time now.
The last couple of weeks have shown that his schemes are the same old same old - and the defense has in fact gotten worse.

*If the Spurs and Whoriors are healthy come playoffs time, then the Clippers have exactly 0% to make it to the WCF. Contenders? don't make me laugh.

*I really don't like Turner, i'd be happy if we'd be lucky enough to trade him for an expiring contract ASAP.

*Harkless was a bright spot, his basketball IQ is probably underrated.

*Vonleh is a mule.

Agreed. Especially if the Trailblazers are healthy and gelling.

You might be jumping the gun, I don't know. I'll stay on the fence for now.

Harkless KILLS the Clippers

Vonleh is Clydesdale, hopefully.

@Mediocre Man
I know you're not in town, so weren't at the game.

How many people here were?
Seriously?
@Charcoal Filtered? pretty sure you were there.

So I watched the game last night on dvr. But I was also at the game. There is a major fail at the 6:40 mark of the fourth quarter that only people who were present at the game are privy to.
@HCP ? Love to hear your thoughts and feedback on this.

So at the 6:40 mark is when Plumlee was called for the flagrant when he slightly bumped into the back of Griffin, who then went into a major flop.
All the replays on TNT only go back far enough for the viewers to see Plumlee running in from the perimeter and bumping him in the back. No extension of his arms or anything, just a small bump.
While watching on TV if you notice, while the refs are reviewing the play, the crowd erupts into another major booing frenzy of which I happily joined in. ( I came out of this game hoarse by the way and Im a fricken vocalist with some chops, so that gives you an idea of how bad it was there, which is also not accurately reflected in the tv version with regards to the level of the audio. I think they turned a bunch of the booing down).

I know this has been slightly touched upon by a couple people, but I want to make this clear. What the people present at the game saw on the big screen was a replay that went further back than any shown on TV. The replay is about 6 seconds back and it shows Griffin running up the court and approximately at the half court line comes up from behind on Plumlee and basically bear hugs him and twists him aside, almost tossing him to the ground. Then Griffin darts down into the paint, of which Plumlee follows. and then the ensuing "Flagrant" foul. The play should have been called dead there long before Plumlee went after Griffin with a foul ON Griffin. It was so blatant, I'm not sure they weren't actually doing a hack a Plums attempt. The crowd exploded when it was shown on the big screen but the millions(?) of viewers never got a replay of that. It was complete BS.
@HCP Do you guys in the truck control the playback on the big screen in the moda center? If so man, seriously. All bullshit we have had aside. Thank you much and mad respect. :smiley-predaja::cheers:. How does the replay work on the national level games like that? Do they use feed from each of the teams, or do they have their own? Are you able to send video footage to TNT that they may not get with their own cameras if there is a separation? I would love to hear you explain this for me/us so we know in detail how that works.

So for a recap, those here who were not present at the game, do not have a complete picture of just how bad this game was unfortunately.
I was there. IF I thought for sure I could reach the court with my rip city soft drink, I would have tossed it, but I was 300 level and didn't want to hit another fan. I would have gladly taken the boot to emphasize the point of how atrocious it was.
Then you take into account the foul that Riddick called for the refs....

Like I said.. The worst game I have ever seen officiated and unfortunately, unless you were there, you dont have the full scope how completely pathetic it was.

Great post! The last called foul pretty much sums up the whole game. Dude is gonna stop playing, and whine to the ref until she calls a foul? And then she actually does??? WTF? My Dad was about ready to throw his drink too. He just didn't want to break the tv though....

Was at the game. The crowd was reacting to the bear hug from Griffin and how little the contact from Plumlee looked.

Same crew is calling the game on NBA TV right now.

Didn't have a chance to watch any of that one. Were there terrible calls in it?
