Rempe has outplayed many of our forwards tonight. He’s being physical, smart, forecheck and back checking well. I’d trust him out there more than Wennberg and Roslovic that’s for sure.
 
Gotta get this next one and change this whole series around
 
Next goal will go A LONG way to deciding what type of series this will be. I am admittedly nervous; after winning the OT games against the Canes you almost feel like law of averages is against us here. I am not sure I can express how huge this next goal is. If we get it, I know I'll feel really confident tonight, and think we are in a solid spot as we go to Florida, where I am confident, we'll play well on the road. Florida gets it, and while not over, it is very much on life support at best, and it will be a bad night and next few days. So huge!!!
 
Most of top 6 guys aren’t willing to go to dirty areas to score goals. That’s a big problem in the playoffs.
 
Fox has a guy wide open for a point shot and throws it down the boards instead.
 
Goodrow with such a clutch moment there. We needed that. That OT was the best period they’ve played this series so far.
 
Everybody bitched about Goodrow all year, but this is why you don’t get rid of guys like that.
 
Excellent win, I am not surprised as this team has stepped up all season when they needed to. I feel good about where we are. We had a little advantage in play tonight, played a structured game that will be needed against this team, and I am very confident about what this team can do on the road. I expect this to be 2-2 back to MSG next Thursday. I would love to win game 3 though to put some pressure on the Panthers.

As for the lineup, I don't think Lav will play Rempe on the road. Not sure if we'll see Kakko or Wheeler in. I also would move Wennberg down, but at this point doubt it happens.

Very happy tonight because I think this game can really jump start us in this series, I like where we are at, and even though we weren't at our best in game 1, the underlying numbers show we actually had some advantages and didn't finish. If we can get the PP going a bit, and I say we are due to score a PP goal, I think we can certainly win this series.
 
Who knows what the deal is with Vesey as well, he may be out. Could be Vesey and Rempe out, and Wheeler and Kakko in. That is their best scoring lineup, but you also have to weigh that against how it will be difficult to score regardless, so do you go more defensive. Again, interesting decisions for Lav coming up.
