Free throw differential is a problem. It's keeping them in the game.
That's the result of extending effort on DHowever, still fouling a lot
In a ton of possessions. We picked up the pace. Stop looking at raw points numbersAllowed 35 points in the second quarter. LOL
Yup.That's the result of extending effort on D
Are you even watching this game? They have 8 points of 2 four point plays.Literally nothing has changed. They're still fouling like crazy, making stupid mistakes, allowing drives. And this is against the 23rd ranked offense without their best player.
I mean, all of this is overshadowed by the fact that the offense is carrying them because the Blazers are hitting a bunch of shots. If you score 73 points in a half most likely you're gonna be up.
But the defense is still ass.

Interesting that the effort on D has not hurt our offense.
100% disagree. Pacers still have a lot of offense without Paul George. It's not like you just subtract his scoring average from the total. Other people take those shots. We are holding them to .425 shooting. Give credit where credit is due. This is an Indiana team (without Paul George) that blew out the Clippers.Literally nothing has changed. They're still fouling like crazy, making stupid mistakes, allowing drives. And this is against the 23rd ranked offense without their best player.

4 of 8 from threes on great contests. The fouling needs to stop, but one step at a time.Pacers went 17/40 which is 42% but 4/8 from three and hit 20/21 free throws. I don't need you to tell me whether that's good defense or not, because it's not.
Because of pace. Our effort on D just gave up 35 points in the quarter to Indiana without Paul George though...

Sorry but you're wrong.Pacers went 17/40 which is 42% but 4/8 from three and hit 20/21 free throws. I don't need you to tell me whether that's good defense or not, because it's not.
When you have a deep team, you can afford to be more aggressive about fouling. Are YOU? Blazers 14 fouls to 5 for Indiana, and I can't really even say the refs are favoring the Pacers. Blazers are making a ton of terrible, obvious fouls.
The effort is up but the results are still trash. How many possessions did the Pacers fail to score on in that second quarter? (Hint: read the pbp, not a whole lot)
Because of pace.

It's better than giving up 3 point shots. If you are watching this game and honestly believe giving them free throws on every possession is good defense.
Speechless....
LOL!It's better than giving up 3 point shots.
