The level of cynicism on this forum is ridiculous. Buncha people with bullshit expectations always hoping to find the negatives in things. Newsflash, morons: This is not a GOOD defensive team. With the personnel, the best we can be is AVERAGE. With this ridiculous offense, a sustainable, average defense is good enough to win us 45-50 games. Stop having unreasonable expectations.

Up 15 in a FAST PACED game where we are controlling the tempo. They scored 58 points and we fouled a ton yes, but we have 73 and are showing marked improvements in like every area.

There's something to be said about being critical of your team. But give credit where it's due. So who gives a shit if it's the Pacers missing their best player? It's not like the Blazers asked for this-- they're playing the opponent in front of them.

B-Roy- the fouling is a result of increased effort. They're putting it out there and they are dominating. That was our best half of the season and you're being a dick. Cut it out.

You're blatantly ignoring what's happening in front of you because you want to affirm a story that you've already played out in your head.

Literally nothing has changed. Portland is a good offensive team. When they win it's because their offense carries them.

This was their best half because their offense was unstoppable, they couldn't miss. I want to see them win a half because their defense carries them.

Grand Ronde, where gamblers go to smell of cigarette smoke!

Then stop telling me they're playing good defense and call it like it is - BAD. No one is going to call 59% TS for a half average, it's plain bad.

The only thing you can give them credit for is that their offense has been unstoppable, because it has. But don't sit here and lie to me by telling me they've improved on defense, because it hasn't shown in their play.

Imagine a defensive front court of Aminu, Harkless, and Noel. Stotts would be in switch heaven.

The 2nd half seems to just be a case of "out score them"

We're on pace to win 152-116.

You're not going to hold them to 80 if you're going to score 152. There are just too many possessions for them.

To hold a team to 80, you have to slow the game to a snail's pace and a big win is 90-80.

Thank you for common sense.

CJ burns Ellis who gambled for the steal

Damian needs to start rebounding like a mad man.

Ellis keeps getting punked by CJ.

The Blazers need to work on their free throw defense. The Pacers are shooting 91% from the charity stripe.

That's on you Stotts!

All I got to say is there more aggressive and playing more up tempo.

Tonight wasn't a good night to play the drinking game. Goddamn :abeer:

The Blazer players need to work on their trash talking skill, methinks.

I think there is negativity on the forum too but what B-Roy is showing is more logical not negative. Tunchi however, different story. B-Roy has points. Just because this is a blowout right now doesn't mean much given who we are playing. Not a good offensive team missing Paul George. I see some improvement but at the same time it's hard to say because this pacers team isn't that good offensively. I also still see a lot of dumb fouls and some bad transition defense. You can't just run around calling somebody negative if their opinion has some evidence behind it. If anything, nobody here calls out those being illogically positive about the team mostly kingspeed. We give tunchi shit all day because he's super negative but barely anybody corrects kingspeed. It is what it is just don't let this blow out fool you

I've counted 6 defensive stops thus far in this quarter in 7 minutes of play by the Blazers. Not bad.
