Personally I'd go with "toss". It suggests less effort than "throw". Or possibly even just a nice generic "put up".

yes i know. i don't live under a rock.

i'm talking this half. his impact is minimal. unless he starts playing defense or getting our guys in foul trouble, he doesn't do much toward them winning
 
Our defense, except against Embid, is pretty darned good. Of course, they don't see a reason to let anyone else shoot. :)

They are all shots...shot selection....shot a layup, a freethrow, a layup.....you do say toss up or put up a floater whoever brought that up but a floater is part of your shot selection...shooter gonna shoot.

they have great shooters (curry/harris/green). no one is seeing the ball with embiid taking every shot. his usage this half is insane

Looks as if Embid has scored or got two free throws on 16 of his 18 attempts.
 
Melo missing no opportunity to hog the ball with low percentage turn around jumpers.

Sixers 0 for INFINITY from three fooling the Blazers into thinking we are in this game.
 
Trent and Anthony scoring but it Trent 15 shots to get his though not very good fg percent but he was 2-5 from the 3. But with just 5 assist so a lot of one on one. But we are out rebounding them by 7 and we 12 offense rebound that half and if we would off the board we be by probably 10.

I would let him get 60 and limit the other guys. Embiid has stamina and injury issues that should take effect later in the game.

like I said....I think Portland IS in this game unless they have a 6 minute stretch of bricks...or philly cans a bunch of three's in the 2nd half. Hope I just didn't jinx the Blazers with that shit
