You are not watching bro. He is drawing help coverage. Yes that is doubling. When he draws the second man he has passed to an open man many times. Aldridge did this also. Melo is passing out of a double team. if they leave him one on one he drives or creates distance and shoots the jumper. This is classic Mid range PF shooting and distribution. He's been doing it for years.

Carmelo got doubled on 1/8 of his scoring possessions last night. He’s getting 1.8 assists per game... I’m happy to have Melo, but he is nothing compared to what Kanter did for us.

Also your highlight film isn't showing the 6 other possessions where he passed out of it. Seriously are you gonna post a video of him scoring on two fast breaks and two transition baskets and two other scores off rebounding as your argument? It's like you didn't even watch the video? Go watch a game instead of posting on the game thread arguing with people.

His whole point was that the Blazers screwed up by not keeping Kanter this summer because we don't have anyone who can score reliably (and therefore draw a double-team) in the post. Respondents indicated that Melo is providing similar impact in his new role as the starting PF.

Just posted a random video of highlights from his last game and this virtually never happened (it happened on 1/8 scoring drives and he didn’t get a SINGLE assist). You are just making things up that you don’t have evidence to prove.

Tell ya what. I don't have time to go and watch multiple games and pull plays where this is happening but i will do this for you. Every time i see it tonight i will post
@Blazers1977 in the game thread. My bet is you will have at least 4 call outs. Now if those plays happen to be put in a highlight reel somewhere you will have more hard evidence but i'm betting they happen pretty fast and because they will be dependent on another player making a shot or making another pass to get a shot, You wont get much video of them. Best i can do for you bro.
